Snoop Dogg steps into the ring with EA SPORTS “Fight Night Round 4” on Xbox 360 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles Monday night. The event benefitted Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football League.

Snoop Dogg and Mike Tyson battled it out on EA SPORTS “Fight Night Round 4” on Xbox 360 last night in Hollywood. After Tyson lost the game to Snoop Dogg in a four-round head-to-head match, he presented Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football League with a $5,000 check.

Tyson attended the event with his youngest daughter and new wife, and Snoop’s son was also in attendance. Onlookers for the virtual match-up also included Jerry Ferrara from “Entourage” Larenz Tate from “Rescue Me” and Wood Harris from “The Wire.” Attendees also had a chance to experience “Fight Night Round 4,” which players can enjoy at home or with friends on Xbox LIVE. The game launches June 25.

Snoop Dogg says he didn’t hit a man with his microphone during a 2005 concert melee.

The rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, took the stand Monday afternoon in a civil trial. He is being sued by Richard Monroe Jr., who claims he was seriously hurt by Broadus and his security guards after he came onstage during a show near Seattle.

Broadus told jurors he didn’t hit Monroe with a brass knuckle microphone as the man contends.

He said Monroe had only himself to blame for his injuries and shouldn’t have come onstage.

Monroe testified Friday he thought he had been invited onstage. He sued the “Gin and Juice” rapper in 2006, seeking millions.

Introducing ‘My Medicine’, his Johnny Cash inspired rap-infused country track, he said: “Country musicians are just like us. They smoke weed, get
drunk, talk s**t, go to jail. But they just wear the little hats.”

Eminem was rumoured to be joining Snoop at the show but pulled out because he was busy in the studio.

So, earlier this week it looked as if Snoop Dogg would get to join Ice Cube in a concert tour of Australia. Now, though the gin and juice might need to be put on hold as several victim’s groups have complained about Snoop visiting the country. Snoop had been barred from visiting the country because of drugs, weapons, murder charges and whatever else Snoop likes to do on weekends. But, after wearing the government down for years, they caved and Snoop got his visa.

Now they want to take it back. Australia is not alone in this. If you want to play in Japan, you better not even have one pot arrest on your record or you are not going to get a visa. The US? Think Amy Winehouse will be back here anytime soon? Lily Allen got here, but not to work. At least not to work that anyone knew about. If you think she just came here to hang out with Lindsay and Sam for a week, well that would be wrong.

Anyway, here is my take on this. These are not visitor visas. They are work visas. Amy Winehouse would be allowed to come to this country to visit, she just can’t get permission to work here. So, in other words, come spend money, but don’t take money. I would be more sympathetic to the rules if they applied to anyone, but lets face it. The average crack head with a full body rash, and an arrest record is not really likely to be applying for a work visa so he is free to enter the country and do what he wants. But, if for some reason there was an opening at a Best Buy and they wanted him, he couldn’t work there.

I say, just let them come in, take our money and leave. It just seems kind of hypocritical to let them come in for two weeks to travel the country, but for some reason if they wanted to stop at a club each night and play some music that somehow this becomes banned or troublesome.

A tour bus carrying hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg was pulled over and two people were arrested on marijuana possession charges Thursday a few hours before a concert in Dallas, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety said.

DPS spokesman Charlie Morgan said members of a commercial vehicle inspection team pulled the bus over on Interstate 45 in Corsicana because the vehicle had an expired registration sticker. Troopers searched the bus for drugs after they said they smelled marijuana and found two ounces of the drug, he said.

Ethan Calhoun, 27, and Kevin Barkey, 26, were arrested on drug charges after admitting the drugs belonged to them, Morgan told The Associated Press. Both men were taken to the Navarro County Jail and face fines of up to $2,000 and six months in jail if convicted, Morgan said. Bond was set at $1,500 each.

The Corsicana Daily Sun reported the men appeared before a justice of the peace and were released after posting bond.

Snoop Dogg, whose birth name is Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr., was not arrested. His agent had no comment, a secretary said. Calls to public relations representatives for the rapper were not immediately returned Thursday evening.

He was arrested last year at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, Calif., on suspicion of transporting marijuana.

Police later charged him with gun possession after finding a firearm in his home. He pleaded no contest in April 2007 to felony gun and marijuana charges and agreed to five years’ probation and 800 hours of community service.

He was scheduled to appear at a concert near the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. He is on tour with alternative rock group 311.

Corsicana is 52 miles south-southeast of Dallas.

He’ll play a dangerous underworld gangster in the new picture. The duo will meet next month in Chicago to produce the video.

Police say the wife of rapper Snoop Dogg has been arrested in California’s Orange County for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Fullerton police Lt. Craig Brower says officers stopped 32-year-old Shante (Shahn-taye) Broadus of Sherman Oaks about 12:15 a.m. Saturday and took her to jail. She was cited and then released pending a court appearance.

Brower says nobody else was in the car but he didn’t have any other details.

Broadus and Snoop Dogg - whose real name is Calvin Broadus Jr. - were married in 1997 and have three children.

A message left with Snoop Dogg’s publicist was not immediately returned.

“I told them to go home and make babies,” he told reporters at the Dodge Celebrity Event in Rosamond, Calif. “They should, that’s the next step as far as marriage, having kids … add on to the family, so hopefully that’s what they’ll do.”

When asked if he’d be planning on adding to his already full nest, he shook his head, grinning. “No. I’m good.”

Snoop’s key to lasting marriage? “Communication, and being able to fight and get back up,” he says. “To have misunderstanding and [then] get some understanding.”

His first one will be targeted at children growing up in urban environments. I can only imagine that a book entitled Where’s The Cheese will probably be on par with the socio-political messages of Dr. Seuss, and will no doubt refer to the US government’s infamous cheese program. Of course it could just be about a rat looking for cheese. The rat could be called Ben and there could be a song about it and maybe Michael Jackson could sing it.

Seriously, I think it will be a great book and as a bonus for the adults. When your kids have outgrown the book, each page can be turned into rolling paper with the simple to follow diagram that comes with every book.

Taylor Swift may have been the big winner at Monday night’s Country Music Television Awards – but it was Snoop Dogg who stole the show.

Swift grabbed him for photos, saying “I’m a huge fan!” At another point, he and Jason Aldean were spotted comparing cowboy boots. “Snoop said he liked my boots with the square toe and then he said I was a pimp,” boasted Aldean. “That’s got to be the ultimate compliment, when Snoop calls you a pimp.”

So what on earth was the hip-hop star doing at a country awards show? “I actually did a country song on my new album called My Medicine that was inspired by Johnny Cash,” Snoop told PEOPLE at the event. “[Country music] inspires me and it makes me feel so good hearing it, so I really wanted to come and be a part of this heritage.”

Snoop is a huge fan of the Man in Black – thanks, he says, to Cash’s “heart, his soul, his music” – but it seems he still has a bit to learn when it comes to contemporary country crooners.

In the midst of his interview with PEOPLE, the Father Hood star stopped mid-sentence to gape at LeAnn Rimes, who was posing for pictures nearby. “Wow – damn! Who is that?” he asked.

Upon learning her identity, Snoop gushed, “She is beautiful! Wow, wow, wow.”

He then turned to the 25-year-old singer and asked, “Can I meet you?” (She responded, “Nice to meet you, sir.”)

Snoop couldn’t leave before adding one last compliment: “You look like Marilyn Monroe!”

The rapper taped a guest appearance Friday on ABC’s “One Life To Live,” which will air in May. “He sings a few songs at the fictitious club Ultraviolet and has a scene where he teaches Ilene Kristen, who plays the town’s foulmouthed blonde, how to speak Izzle,” said our spy. (Snoop finishes many words with the “izzle” suffix, for instance “fo shizzle” means “for sure.”) “He told the staff it’s been his fa vorite show since he was a little boy.” Snoop also re corded a remix of the show’s theme song, which will air on the May 8 and 9 episodes.

Snoop Dogg is bringing some street cred to “One Life to Live.” The 36-year-old rapper will make an extended cameo on the ABC soap opera to perform two songs from his new album, “Ego Trippin’,” at the Ultra Violet club in the town of Llanview, the network said Thursday.

Snoop’s episodes will air May 8 and May 9, and feature his re-mixed version of the show’s theme song. He will also act in scenes.

“I’ve been a fan of `One Life to Live’ since I was a baby,” said Snoop, who’s set to perform “Sensual Seduction” and “Life of Da Party.”

“My momma always had it on the tube in tha crib growing up. The opportunity to change up the theme song and give it some of my flavor will make the show the Life of The Party.”

Mary J. Blige, Nelly Furtado, Chris Botti, Erykah Badu, Timbaland and Keri Hilson have also performed on the show.
