Rachel Bilson is pretty in purple in the March 2008 issue of Lucky Magazine.She’s currently on a promo tour for her upcoming flick Jumper (in wide release on Valentine’s Day) with hottie Hayden Christensen and the adorable 26-year-old star is proving to be one of the most stylish ladies in Hollywood.

On her role in Jumper impacting her style: “I had to surrender control and let go of a lot of fears; it had a big impact on my life. I’ve noticed even with clothes, I’m more experimental and trying to take risks, but still feel like myself. I’m constantly evolving, figuring out what works in my wardrobe. My favorite thing about fashion is creative expression and keeping everything a little unexpected.”

On moving past her role as Summer on The O.C.: “I’m definitely grateful for my role as Summer, but I must admit that I’m looking forward to becoming more than Summer. I’m also super excited to finally play a character who is my real age.”

Rachel showed up for the New York photo shoot wearing an adorably cool outfit of vintage boots, a raglan-sleeved Heart (the band) tee, and chic high-waisted sailor pants with so many buttons that she asked if she could leave them half open during our interview. (“I love these so much, but they’re such a pain to get in and out of,” she explained.)

A lawyer for John Ritter’s family told a jury Monday that he would show doctors caused the actor’s death by an improper diagnosis and substandard treatment. “What you’ll hear, ladies and gentleman, is that … they did everything wrong,” attorney Moses Lebovits said in his opening statement at the trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Ritter died of a tear in the aorta, known as an aortic dissection, on Sept. 11, 2003, at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank.

Ritter’s relatives say he was instead mistakenly treated for a heart attack, and they are suing two doctors for $67 million. The lawsuit follows settlements with the hospital and eight other medical personnel for about $14 million.

At the time of his death, Ritter was 54 and the star of the ABC series “8 Simple Rules … For Dating My Teenage Daughter.” The award-winning star of the sitcom “Three’s Company” had a varied career, with credits ranging from TV’s “The Waltons” to the 1996 movie “Sling Blade.”

Amy Yasbeck, Ritter’s widow, wept during parts of Lebovits’ opening statement.

Lebovits claimed that a radiologist, Dr. Matthew Lotysch, failed to give Ritter warning of his purportedly enlarged aorta two years before he died, and that Dr. Joseph Lee, the cardiologist called to Ritter’s side the night of his death, failed to order the proper tests to diagnose his condition.

Central to the case is the claim that Lee failed to have a chest X-ray done before treating Ritter for what appeared to be a heart attack.

“Because they didn’t get the chest X-ray, they gave him the wrong treatment,” said Lebovits.

Had Ritter been treated properly, Lebovits said, the actor would have undergone surgery that night and recovered in six to eight weeks, and his life expectancy would not have been affected.

In a defense opening statement, attorney Stephen Fraser, who represents Lotysch, told jurors that neither of the doctors being sued was responsible for Ritter’s death.

Nothing could have been done to prevent Ritter’s demise because body scans showed his aorta was of normal size and showed no sign that it would dissect, Fraser said.

“Dr. Lee did not save John Ritter’s life, but he did not kill him,” Fraser said. “There was nothing that could have been done to save Mr. Ritter’s life.”

The defense attorney said Lee did what was required for someone having a heart attack - which was what appeared to be happening to Ritter when Lee joined the case.

Actor Henry Winkler had been expected to testify Monday but left the courthouse as defense opening statements continued into the late afternoon.

The on-again and off-again relationship between former MTV reality show couple Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler is off again – this time for good, he tells PEOPLE.

“No, I’m no longer with her,” Barker told PEOPLE over the weekend at the 5th annual Roots Jam benefiting Rock the Vote at West Hollywood’s Key Club. “We were actually divorced a few days ago.”

Asked if he’s found any new romance, Barker says, “I have a beautiful daughter at home, a beautiful son at home. That’s where my head is at right now. I don’t have time for anything else.”

TMZ.com quotes online records showing that Barker and Moakler, both 32, are now officially single. The couple, who in happier days starred in MTV’s Meet the Barkers, have two kids together: Landon, 4, and Alabama, 2.

Who is she again? What she does for a living, I do not know but she sure does look cute in this white dress. It is a shame that these reality TV people are seen as legit stars these days. It was a surprising – and super sexy – contrast to the floral Zuhair Murad dress she wore on the red carpet.

Hip-hop star NAS has defended his decision to name his upcoming album NIGGER, insisting the word is symbolic of the discrimination faced by all ethnicities, not just those of African origin. The Hip-Hop Is Dead lyricist made headlines last year when he announced plans for the title of his new album, but claims he is simply speaking out against all forms of racism in a thought-provoking way. And the rapper used his appearance at Sunday’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles to publicise the forthcoming release of the album, wearing a black T-shirt with the word ‘N**ger’ displayed clearly on the front.

His R+B singer wife Kelis and an entourage of other women were also dressed in similar attire.
