Stop-Loss star Ryan Phillippe’s afternoon exercise was interrupted by a helicopter flying high above his Hollywood Hills home. Phillippe tried yelling at the copter, but his plea for privacy was drowned out by the whoosh of the whirling blades. Phillippe retreated inside his home, but quickly returned a few moments with an assortment of poster board and a large magic marker. Phillippe furiously scribbled a message on the poster board then held it up to the sky. The cards read:

-”Please Leave Me Alone”
-”Isn’t Lindsay Lohan Maybe Holding Hands With That DJ Lady Somewhere?”
-”Or Isn’t Madonna Cheating Somewhere With A.Rod?”
-”Seriously! Go Away! What Did I Do To Deserve This?”
-”And No, You Can’t Say I Know What You Did Last Summer Either.”

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe finalized their divorce on Thursday, Extra reports.

Details weren’t immediately available.

According to documents dated June 12, the two — who were seeking shared custody arrangement over children Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4 — “have settled all their remaining issues in these proceedings.”

Witherspoon filed for divorce in 2006, citing irreconcilable differences.

“After the divorce, I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die,” Phillippe told the Autumn-Winter 2007-2008 of U.K. magazine Man About Town. “I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit.”

Witherspoon is now dating Jake Gyllenhaal.

“He’s a good dude,” Phillippe said of the actor. “I love her, and I want her to be happy, and it seems like she is.”

Phillippe recently stepped out with his Stop-Loss co-star Abbie Cornish, whom he dated after his split with Witherspoon.

Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon (born March 22, 1976) is an American actress who has established herself as one of the highest-paid Hollywood actresses in recent years.

She serves on the board of the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF), and was named Global Ambassador of Avon Products in 2007, serving as honorary chairman of the charitable Avon Foundation.
Witherspoon met American actor Ryan Phillippe at her 21st birthday party in March 1997, where she introduced herself to him saying “I think you’re my birthday present.” The couple became engaged in December 1998, and were married in Charleston, South Carolina on June 5, 1999, following the release of the box office hit Cruel Intentions. They have two children: a daughter named Ava Elizabeth, born September 9, 1999, and a son Deacon Reese, born October 23, 2003. To be able to look after the children, the couple alternated shooting schedules for their films.
By 2005, in response to news reports of Witherspoon and Phillippe receiving marriage counseling, Witherspoon stated, “We’ve done that in the past, and it’s always struck me as odd that people grabbed onto that story and made it sound so negative.” In December 2005, she said on The Oprah Winfrey Show, “In what capacity is working on yourself or your marriage a bad thing? What marriage isn’t a journey? … Nobody’s perfect … We all have our own set of problems.” That same month, Witherspoon also said in an interview, “I think if anybody rests on the idea that they are perfect or their life is perfect or their relationship is perfect and is so troubled about destroying the facade as opposed to getting to what’s real, that is troublesome.”
In October 2006, Witherspoon and Phillippe announced that they decided to formally separate after seven years of marriage. The following month, Witherspoon filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. In her petition she sought joint legal custody of their two children and sole physical custody, with full visitation rights for Phillippe. The couple had no prenuptial agreement and Phillippe would normally be entitled to half of Witherspoon’s assets by California law. Witherspoon requested that the court grant no spousal support for Phillippe, which he did not contest. On May 15, 2007, Phillippe filed for joint physical custody of the couple’s children, and made no motion to block Witherspoon from seeking support from him. In September 2007, Witherspoon spoke openly about the separation for the first time when she told Elle magazine that it was “a difficult and frightening experience” for her. Witherspoon and Phillippe’s final divorce documents were granted by the Los Angeles Superior Court on October 5, 2007, ending their marriage.
Throughout 2007, there was persistent speculation in the mass media about a romantic relationship between Witherspoon and her Rendition co-star Jake Gyllenhaal. The pair denied the rumors while promoting Rendition in the fall of 2007. However, after the finalization of Witherspoon’s divorce in October 2007, Gyllenhaal and Witherspoon became more open with their relationship.

Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon surprised children at a school in New Orleans, Louisiana recently, by becoming a volunteer teacher for a day.The award winning actress who is also the mother of two, visited the Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School, where at-risk kids learn to become community leaders. During her trip, which was filmed for upcoming American Idol charity special Idol Gives Back, Witherspoon helped the children study and at one point read a book to a class of students.The Walk The Line star isn’t the only celebrity taking part in the U.S. TV special - Brad Pitt, Bono, John Legend, Snoop Dogg and Carrie Underwood will also feature during the show, which is set to air on April 9th.

Ryan Phillippe, 33, and 4-year-old son Deacon, get some excercise at a Los Angeles high school last week. Ryan is training for his upcoming role as a Viking warrior in Last Battle Dreamer. Ryan has two kids with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon; Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4, and recently talked to Entertainment Tonight, about fatherhood and parenting challenges.

“Being a father is by far my greatest achievement and the most important thing about me. My mother had a day-care center in my house growing up. And I come from a big family on the East Coast. We grew up helping take care of and raise kids, so it’s very second nature to me.””

We know they are photographed a lot–but what do they tell the kids?

“You try to make it seem as commonplace as you can. That’s sort of the approach you have to take with all of that stuff, with the press, with the paparazzi. You kinda just say, ‘Well, you know, Mommy and Daddy do this certain kind of job and it creates an interest in the public,’ and you minimize all of that stuff as much as you can.”

Look for Ryan in his new movie Stop-Loss, which also stars Abbie Cornish, Channing Tatum and Ciaran Hinds. It opens in theaters on March 28.
