A reporter who covered CHRIS BROWN’s recent assault case faces a prison sentence for posting illegal video footage from inside the court building on the Internet.

Russell Alan Wetanson uploaded clips of interviews, conducted outside the Los Angeles courtroom, where Brown pleaded guilty to assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna on June 22, 2009, to his website.

But it is illegal to tape footage or take photographs inside the official building - and new legal documents filed are requesting Wetanson is held in contempt of court.

Wetanson, who is also a lawyer, was notified by the public information officer of the court of the violation and the videos were subsequently removed from his website.

Brown was handed a community service order, five years supervised probation and he was ordered to stay away from the Umbrella hitmaker.

The oldest Jonas Bro, 22, popped the question to girlfriend Danielle Deleasa, 21, today, his rep confirmed.

He surprised Deleasa, a former hairdresser, with a cushion-cut diamond ring he codesigned with Jacob & Co. by showing up at her New Jersey home this morning.

The couple met in May 2007 while on vacation in the Bahamas with their families.

“Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage,” parents Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. tell Us in a statement.

“Her answer was yes, and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date,” they continue. “Family is very dear to us, and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our family’s celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support.”

In 2008, Kevin told Details he was waiting until marriage to have sex, and wearing a promise ring from Tiffany’s in the meantime.

The date for Whitney Houston’s comeback has been set.

Arista Records says her long-awaited album will be released Sept. 1. Houston hasn’t released a CD in seven years.

So far, there’s no word on a title for the album.

The 45-year-old superstar is one of the best-selling artists of all-time, but in recent years, she’s been defined more by drug problems, marital woes and erratic behavior than by her Grammy-winning voice.

But lately, Houston has appeared to return to her pop princess form. She wowed the crowd when she performed at her mentor Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party in February.

When it comes to finding the ultimate teen role model one can’t go past Taylor Swift - talented, beautiful, gracious and still the same grounded and sweet girl she was before she became one of the most successful and popular young country artists of the decade. “I’ll never forget this,” she eventually said, her voice cracking with emotion.

Swift was also joined on-stage with a surprise cameo by John Mayer (who often twitters about his enthusiasm for the young starlet) and the two sang Mayer’s hit “Your Body is a Wonderland” before launching into Swift’s “Whitehorse.”

But despite being worth more than an estimated $18 million according to Forbes.com, Taylor’s true star-power stems from still being relatable to her young fanbase and her trademarked approach to dealing with dates who do her wrong.

“If you break my heart, hurt my feelings or mess with friends I’ll have to write a song about you,” Swift said, also adding that she’s not the “only girl that burns ex boyfriends’ pictures.”

But boys aside, the pop-country crooner also left us on a high note with a montage of inspirational pictures, including Britain’s “You’ve Got Talent” Susan Boyle.

“It’s been a tough year for a lot of people,” Swift said. “When you get knocked down it is hard to imagine anything different.”

And as much as this gorgeous girl is skilled at performing, she is even more skilled at writing. So where does her secret song-writing material pretty much all come from?

“I’ve written in a diary every night since I was 13,” she admitted.

As Nat King Cole’s Grammy Award-winning daughter, who’s suffering from kidney disease, sat comforting her dying sister, Carol “Cookie” Cole, she got a frantic call from doctors saying that a kidney from a 22-year-old patient had become available and that she could receive a life-saving transplant immediately.

As Cole — who was battling hepatitis C from a past drug addiction and needed kidney dialysis three times a week — was undergoing transplant surgery a few hours later, her older sister passed away.

“This is all so surreal, and it is devastating,” Natalie’s younger sister, Timolin Cole, told Page Six yesterday.

“Our sister Cookie hadn’t been to a doctor in 30 years, and last week she went in and they found a cancerous spot on her lung. They had wanted to start chemo right away, but Cookie said no.”

Natalie quickly rushed to Cookie’s side, expecting to comfort her to the end.

“Natalie was there with her at her bedside at 4 in the morning on Monday, and she got a phone call from her doctors that a kidney was ready for her,” Timolin related.

“She said, ‘What do you mean? I can’t deal with that right now! I’m here with my dying sister!’ And they said to her, ‘No, ma’am. We’ve got to do it now. You’ve got to be at Cedars-Sinai in two hours.’

“I told her, ‘Natalie, this is God’s gift, and you’ve got to go now. Cookie would want this for you.’ ”

Cole relented and rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The transplant was, mercifully, a success, and she’s expected to go home over the weekend.

“She’s doing well, and she’s going to party like a rock star in no time,” Timolin said.

Natalie’s rep called the family’s life-and-death drama “a tragic coincidence.”

Eminem has given hundreds of hometown fans in Detroit extra reason to celebrate his first new album in almost five years - a free show.

The rapper put on a free concert at MotorCity Casino’s 1,500-seat Sound Board theater Tuesday - the same day his album “Relapse” was released.

Spokesman Dennis Dennehy says Eminem performed eight songs. The set was largely new, except for “Lose Yourself” from the film “8 Mile.”

The show comes after Eminem and Jimmy Kimmel flew about 200 laid-off auto workers to Los Angeles for the rapper’s Friday appearance on Kimmel’s TV show. “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” also plans to feature Eminem on Tuesday and Friday.

The airline employee who forced JOEL MADDEN to cover up his tattoos has been disciplined by his bosses, who are furious about the bad publicity the stunt has caused.

Madden was outraged when a British Airways employee refused to allow him to board a flight from Chicago to London on Monday (27Apr09), until he hid his body art from other passengers.

The Good Charlotte rocker posted a message online from the plane, expressing his outrage. He wrote on Twitter.com, “Was just told by a british air (sic) person I can’t get on the plane till I cover my tatts.

“I really actually am in shock.”

And BA bosses are equally baffled - because there’s nothing in the rulebook about tattoos.

Confirming the unnamed employee is being reprimanded, a spokesperson tells TMZ.com, “We don’t understand why the employee took it upon himself to enforce regulations that don’t exist.”

Courtney Love finally sobered up and realized that some of the people handling Kurt Cobain’s estate had lost all the money the Nirvana frontman had left her and their daughter, Frances Bean, her lawyer says.

A team of investigators, forensic accountants and lawyers found that Cobain’s estate had been looted of more than $30 million cash and up to $500 million in real estate.

“I have never seen such greed and moral turpitude. This case is going to make Bernard Madoff look warm and fuzzy,” Love’s lawyer, Rhonda J. Holmes, of Gordon & Holmes in San Diego, told Page Six.

“We will be filing civil cases . . . within the next 30 days. There are many, many millions missing. We’ve only been able to track down $30 million, but there is more. And then there is the real estate.”

According to Holmes, bank accounts using Cobain, Love and Frances Bean’s Social Security numbers were set up and used to buy and sell real estate across the US.

“There is now a web of homes which were bought, flipped and used to launder money — up to $500 million worth,” Holmes said. “Any of the property we can get back will be donated to people who have lost their homes in foreclosures.”

Asked how this could have happened, Holmes said, “Courtney noticed the money was gone when there wasn’t any left. It’s no secret she struggled with substance-abuse issues, but in the last year she’s taken a more serious approach to sobriety and started noticing things were wrong. She hired private investigators, accountants and me.

“We are also working with local and federal authorities,” Holmes said. “When Mr. Cobain died in 1994, he left his enormously wealthy estate behind for the benefit of his mother, two sisters, a brother, his wife and young daughter. Many of those [involved with] the estate’s coffers mismanaged, stole and outright looted it shamelessly.”

Don’t expect to see Kelly Clarkson with a baby bump any time soon.

“Oh, my God, I have no desire,” the American Idol winner, 26, tells USA Today. “I would not be a good mother.

“I mean, I love being an aunt to my niece and nephew,” she continues. “And I used to want to, like, adopt 10 kids — because I had friends who were adopted, and I thought that was the coolest thing, to be chosen. But…my job is too selfish.”
