Michelle Williams’ father, a prominent stock market trader, agreed Tuesday to return to the United States to face tax evasion charges.

Larry Williams has been fighting extradition since he was arrested by Australian police in 2006 after flying to Sydney for a speaking tour in Australia and New Zealand. He has been free on bail.

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service wants to question the 65-year-old Virgin Islands resident about a possible $1.5 million in unpaid taxes from book royalties and earnings related to international seminars he conducted between 1990 and 2001.

Sydney’s The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported that Williams will leave for Los Angeles on Wednesday.

“I will fight this and win,” Williams said before sheriffs escorted him from court. “I will be back - I have a lot of friends here in Australia.”

Michelle Williams received an Oscar nomination as best supporting actress for her performance in the 2005 film “Brokeback Mountain,” playing the wife of Heath Ledger’s character. Ledger, who died from an accidental prescription drug overdose in January, is the father of her 3-year-old daughter Matilda Rose, Larry Williams’ granddaughter.

Now in those blanks I want you to insert Grandma kissed grandson. Then if grandma stroked your arm or patted you on the back would it seem odd? Hell no. Now if grandma slipped you the tongue, then that would be odd. Not for the Hogan family, but for the rest of the world it would be.

Of course if there had been tongue, then I wouldn’t be writing this now would I? Star Magazine is reporting that Michelle Williams is dating Spike Jonze. Now, honestly they very well could be, but if some lame ass kiss is all they have to support it then this is pretty flimsy. This happened in NY, so maybe things are different there. Here in LA, people kiss their damn garbageman. I really shouldn’t say damn garbageman, because honestly I don’t need trash dumped all over my car again. I don’t think it was intentional, but then again, I also don’t think they were too happy about me continually throwing garbage from my car everyday on to the set of Chuck last year either so maybe it was.

In any event, if I were Star and was trying to sell this as romantic I would have left off the closed mouth thing. Just say she kissed him on the lips and was caressing him. That’s the way to sell romance. All you are doing with this description is saying that Spike is a friend. You show me a brand new relationship and then show me a kiss like this and I’ll show you a picture of Reese and Jake.

I think Michelle deserves some happiness and I’m all for a new relationship. Hell, I love Spike also so I think it would be great for both of them, but this? This doesn’t sound like it.

Heath didn’t have much in cash, but there was a big house in Los Angeles California and a back-end deal for ‘Dark Knight’ that could reap millions more.” Ledger left just $145,000 when he died, but recent reports claimed he created a trust for his daughter that includes a $3.1 million home in Los Angeles California and a $2 million property nearby as well as a duplex in Brooklyn, New York, which is currently valued at $4.5 million.

The New York City Opera commissioned Charles Wuorinen to compose an opera based on “Brokeback Mountain,” the 1997 short story by Annie Proulx that became the basis for a 2005 movie that won three Academy Awards.

The opera is scheduled to premiere in spring 2013, City Opera said Sunday. It will be City Opera’s second Wuorinen premiere, following “Haroun and the Sea of Stories,” which was based on a Salman Rushdie novel and opened in October 2004.

“Ever since encountering Annie Proulx’s extraordinary story I have wanted to make an opera on it, and it gives me great joy that Gerard Mortier and New York City Opera have given me the opportunity to do so,” Wuorinen said in a statement.

“Brokeback Mountain” is a cowboy romance about two ranch-hand buddies who start a homosexual affair when they meet on the fictional mountain in 1963.

Heath Ledger As The Joker

Dead Hollywood star Heath Ledger was urged to seek psychiatric help during the filming of new Batman movie, according to reports. The troubled actor played the caped crusader’s nemesis The Joker in the film, which wrapped shooting at the end of 2007, just weeks before Ledger was found dead from a drug overdose in his New York City apartment in January. The star reportedly became so involved with the character he was playing, it affected his mood, sleeping patterns and relationships with other cast members. Fox News reports that Ledger was warned not to let the movie take over his life and was pressed to seek counselling. A source tells the broadcaster, “Heath refused to talk to anyone out of character. If you tried to communicate with him normally instead of The Joker, he would just ignore you.”He would often come to the set to hang out even on his days off, freaking everyone out. Towards the end of filming, he was warned by people that he had gone too far, but it was almost like he couldn’t connect with those who cared for him anymore.”

We weren’t the only ones disturbed by that scratchy and highly controversial video showing Heath Ledger at a cocaine-filled party that emerged days after his untimely death. And now, an ex-girlfriend of one of the photographers present at the party is suing her ex’s paparazzi agency under the alias “Jane Doe” for setting up the actor in an attempt to secretly tape him using drugs:

“The photogs had befriended Heath and invited him up to…party, never disclosing their true intentions. As Heath allegedly did coke, the photogs secretly videotaped the whole thing. When Heath realized what was happening, he went ballistic.”

In light of rumors that scenes from The Dark Knight may be cut or altered due to screener audiences’ discomfort while watching overly dark Ledger moments, coupled with the fact that Michelle Williams is due to promote her upcoming film Deception later this month, a lawsuit claiming Ledger’s innocence is well-timed. So it’s difficult to figure out if Jane Doe is acting out of good will in order to clean the late actor’s record, or if she’s simply a scorned ex looking to damage the rep of her former boyfriend’s agency. Either way, the video does little to convince us that Ledger was actually using drugs the night he lost out on a SAG award for Brokeback Mountain in 2006. If the suit does see the light of day, we can at least take comfort in the plausibility that Ledger was simply blowing off steam with a cocktail, rather than rails, on that night.
