As you know by now I don’t watch Grey’s Anatomy. It isn’t that I don’t like much of the cast, because I do. For some reason I just never started and I hate coming into a show several seasons late. You just never get into that rhythm or fully involve yourself with the characters. Anyway, I don’t need to know anything about the show to tell you they are getting screwed over by Katherine Heigl and don’t really care.

Katherine Heigl bad mouthed everyone on that show just like she bad mouths everyone with whom she has ever worked. Katherine was ready and did throw Grey’s under the bus until she realized that maybe her movie career wasn’t going to be as good as she thought. That maybe getting kicked off a movie might be a sign of things to come and no paychecks to bring home.

So, instead of trying to talk her way out of the last year of her contract, now Katherine is all smiles and hugs and how she loves Grey’s Anatomy and she never wanted to leave. She was just tired and cranky and hopes everyone will forgive her and please, keep paying her until she can make it big as a movie star and throw you all under the bus again.

I’m wondering also if she told TR Knight she was going to stay on the show. Maybe she thought, “hmmm, he can go and I can stay and be the biggest star on the show.” More like the biggest diva, but whatever works. So, I guess she survives her tumor or cancer or whatever for now.

Katherine Heigl has hit another stumbling block on her way to movie stardom. Sources say the actress, whose just-concluded season on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” might have been her last, was dropped from a top-tier ensemble cast in the upcoming romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day” because she demanded an astronomical salary.

The flick, which is scheduled to be released in February 2011, is directed by Garry Marshall and has signed such big names as Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Shirley MacLaine and Bradley Cooper.

An insider told Page Six, “Producers at New Line originally had Katherine on their casting list. They wanted her for the project, but during the talks, she came back demanding $3 million for the role.”

Our source calls that number “ridiculous” because the movie has “an ensemble cast where there is really no one lead role. Actors are only filming between three and 14 days, and no other actors asked for nearly that amount.”

A rep for Heigl told Page Six, “The story is ludicrous. Early negotiations are a daily occurrence in this business, and just for clarification, Katherine walked away from this project for multiple reasons.” A spokeswoman for New Line had “no comment.”

It’s not the first time Heigl has come across as a diva. In 2007, after “Knocked Up,” she told Vanity Fair the Judd Apatow-directed movie “paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. I had a hard time with it on some days.”

She also caused a commotion when she withdrew her name from consideration for last year’s Emmy race, slighting the “Grey’s Anatomy” writers by saying, “I do not feel I was given the material this season to warrant a nomination.” Heigl, whose character was dying of brain cancer, did enter herself in this year’s awards nominations.

“I was assuming that at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don’t know if that’s a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don’t know how this is going to go,” Heigl said, noting series creator Shonda Rhimes’ passion for plot secrecy.
“I don’t know if I live or die. I don’t know how Izzie fares,” said the actress, who’s played the character since the show debuted in 2005.
“I’m there” if Izzie remains part of “Grey’s Anatomy,” Heigl said. She called the set “one of my favorite places to be” and said her colleagues are also friends.

I really hope they don’t want her and kill her off the show.

On Friday, Heigl said she’s comfortable balancing movies and TV by working on big-screen projects during the summer hiatus for “Grey’s Anatomy.”
“I’m more than happy to make that compromise. As my agent likes to say, ‘High-class problems,’” Heigl said.
“I don’t know if I want to continue for five years working 12 months a year, but I can take at least another year or two,” she said.

Wow working 12 months a year is hard for her. I work 12 months a year and I have no choice. She does think she is better than us. Hopefully the residuals won’t be enough for her to survive on once her career finally comes to an end.

BTW I have so forgotten about TR Knight already, that I couldn’t remember his name when I started writing this post. And I am sure I am not the only one who has forgotten about him.

Is Katherine Heigl’s nic fit finally over?

The Grey’s star who’s seldom seen in public without a cigarette between her lips is quitting smoking, at least according to costar T.R. Knight.

A former smoker himself, T.R. told In Touch he’s supporting her efforts without nagging his pal about it. “You have to be ready and find it in yourself.”

It’s apparently taken seven years for Katherine to come around and see the smoke-free light—here’s hoping her resolution sticks.

Chandra Wilson was asked about Katherine Heigl’s Emmy snub and here is what  she said according to The Live Feed.

“All actors have to do that exactly same thing every year. The public at large doesn’t understand it’s not about your body of works. It can’t be something in the middle. You can have a great seasonal arc, but if you don’t have that show that’s your show, then it’s not the right thing for the category. It was amazing to me the way it got blown out of proportion.
