In her first significant leading role on the big screen, Fergie (Stacy Ann Ferguson) of the Black Eyed Peas has been cast as one of the final puzzle pieces in Rob Marshall’s ensemble musical, “Nine” for The Weinstein Company, Access Hollywood has learned exclusively. The casting will be announced Friday.

While there are several female leads in the film, including Academy Award winners Kate Hudson (announced Wednesday), Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Marion Cotillard, as well as Academy Award nominee Penelope Cruz, Fergie’s role will be significant.

The musical revolves around the women in the life of the male lead character, Guido Contini, who will be played by two-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis. The show is loosely based on the life of Italian director Federico Fellini, and inspired by his masterpiece, “8 ½.” “Nine” opened on Broadway in 1982 and was revived starring (amongst others) Antonio Banderas (and later, John Stamos), Mary Stuart Masterson, Jane Krakowski, Chita Rivera and Laura Benanti.

Fergie has had smaller roles on the big screen in recent years, including 2007’s “Grindhouse” and 2006’s “Poseidon.” She began her acting career on the small screen on the show “Kids Incorporated.”

Here is Fergie shopping on Rodeo Drive yesterday. The jeans are a bit funky but she’s a funky chick and can pretty much pull anything off. I think she looks great. Her hair looks really good, too. I just wish she’d get rid of that eyebrow ring already! I absolutely hate that thing.

Fergie is desperate to have children and is already planning to turn to pop star pal Gwen Stefani for baby advice.

The singer wants to  work on starting a family as soon as she weds actor fiance Josh Duhamel, but admits she knows nothing about babies - so she’ll consult as many starry moms as possible for tips.

<130%;">Fergie says, “I’d like to ask Gwen (Stefani), because she’s really done a great job.”But she insists there’s no way she could perform while she’s expecting - like Stefani and new moms such as Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera did.<130%;">

<130%;">She adds, “I don’t want to be touring… I know I don’t want that. Because I get way too physical onstage. I don’t think I could hold myself back. And I would just be scared to hurt the baby. I’d take time off to read books about having babies, because I have no idea about that. I’ve never really changed a diaper.”

Remember recently there were rumors that Fergie was pregnant, but then her mother denied them on the Ryan Seacrest radio show? Well it kind of looks like those rumors were true. Fergie and Josh were spotted last night in LA. The singer is known for her washboard stomach—which seems to have been replaced by a bump with a noticeably protruding belly button. Could be a bad angle, but I guess we’ll find out soon.

Previously, Fergie had just been quoted that she wouldn’t partake of the hush hush pregnancy games that seem to be so popular amongst celebrities. She insists that if she were pregnant she would come right out and tell the whole world immediately.

Fergie looks pretty good but honestly her beauty can all be attributed to a good nose job. Just a few years ago I remember seeing her and thinking to myself “whoa, butterface”, now, not so much. I wouldn’t say she stopped at a nose job, I am not sure what else she may have had done but I can say that it is doubtful her boobs are real. Sorry folks, I know I think everyones boobs are fake but honestly, how many celebs have natural boobs at this point? How many people do you know with natural perky D’s in their 30’s? I don’t know a single one.
