The star of this summer’s much anticipated “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” movie opens up to Men’s Health about his rough road to success, his marriage and his love for the outdoors. Josh says, “I want to do good work, but having kids and a life outside of that is important. If you don’t have anybody around who loves you, then what’s it all for? You’re just lonely in the end.”

On life and acting…
“It’s all about whatever enriches you. If you decide to go the domestic route and get married and all those things, it makes you a better actor…“I want to do good work, but having kids and a life outside of that is important too.”

“It’s starting to happen. It’s been 12 years. And I feel like I’m finally starting to get looks at some of the things I’ve always wanted to do.”

On finishing school…
His rags to riches story: Young man drops out of college, skips dental school, heads West, gets discovered, hits the big time. 10 years after he left, Duhamel graduated from Minot State University. “I started thinking, I busted my ass for that degree and I’m not gonna finish it?”

On rely on his talent rather than his looks…
“It’s not going to last very long. And I want to be good.”

On challenging himself in Transformers…
“It’s all about, ‘They’re coming, run!’ That’s what I said for half the movie.” It’s easy to coast with such material. Instead, Duhamel tried to elevate it. “In a certain sense, it’s not the most difficult role, but you still want to give it as much depth as you can.”

On trusting himself…
“It’s something I’m working on. Trusting- just trusting that you’re good enough. If you’ve done the work, then you really can’t go wrong. At least it’s your truth.”

On his marriage…
“We try to stay away from the places where the paparazzi hang out. Still, they’re outside the house every morning.”

On finding happiness…
“I want to do good work, but having kids and a life outside of that is important. If you don’t have anybody around who loves you, then what’s it all for? You’re just lonely in the end.”

On exceeding expectations…
“People have been trying to put me in a box my whole career.” Even as a relatively inexperienced actor on the set of All My Children, Josh says, “I told myself going into it, I’m not going to be the cookie-cutter, sappy guy they’re expecting. I’ll play against whatever melodramatic writing I get.”

On his health …
“The picture of Men’s Health,” he laughs. “My friends give me crap, like, ‘You’re going to be on the cover of Men’s Health? You?”

On his acting roles…
“I have a lot more flexibility I can show. That’s what makes it fun. That’s why I love this business. I don’t want to do things just to prove to people ‘Look how dark I can be.’ It’s about the story. It has to be a good story.”

On his love for the outdoors…
“I love being outside. I grew up like Huck Finn, always outdoors, exploring, collecting frogs—there was space everywhere. I want my kids to experience that too.”

On landing the voice of Oz on the Nickelodeon show “Fanboy and Chum Chum”…
“I think I’ve had more fun doing this than anything else.” That fun didn’t come easy. He’d auditioned previously for a couple years and wasn’t hired. “Finally I said, you what, f— this. I’m going to take a class, figure out what I’ve been doing wrong, why I’m not scoring any jobs.” He landed Fanboy and Chum Chum almost immediately afterward.

“Part of the journey is rejection, and it’s good. You have to keep pushing. You have to keep fighting.”

On golf pointers…
“Okay, main thing you have to think about: Forget about that swing shit. Just look at the back of the ball, right there. Just hit it.”

On the naked pictures he posed for years ago…
“You know, to me, it’s funny at this point. Whatever. It’s done. And it was very cold in the studio, by the way.”

On maintaining friendships…
He grew up with a crew of buddies that he’s stayed tight with since childhood. “The longer we stay friends, the more I value it.”

His advice to Obama…
Duhamel and Fergie were invited to the White House for the Easter Egg Roll. Duhamel’s only advice to the President, “You have to keep your promise about changing NCAA football to a playoff system.” The President laughed.

On looking ahead …
“It’s starting to happen. It’s been 12 years. And I feel like I’m finally starting to get looks at some of the things I’ve always wanted to do.”

In this week’s National Enquirer they rounded up some homeless people to be their sources and then began writing stories. No, that didn’t happen. Probably. Anyway, this week The Enquirer says that Fergie and Josh Duhamel are fighting about kids. It seems that Josh wants her to get pregnant now and Fergie says no, she wants to keep working and doing movies but she is willing to adopt. OK, I am all for adoption or biological kids. Whatever you want. The thing is though Fergie doesn’t want to take any time off which is why she is opposed to having a biological child.

So, is she saying she can’t work at all while pregnant? I understand about movies or what not, because roles are roles, but I don’t understand why she can’t sing or tour. Women all over the world work while pregnant and singing seems to be a whole lot easier than what most people do for a living. So, she must be talking about the fact she doesn’t have time to deal with a biological baby but she does for one she adopted? What, are they just going to stop by the adoption drive-thru, say hi to the baby and drop it off with a nanny?

Whether you have your own baby or adopt, shouldn’t determine the amount of attention you give to the child. The only other possible explanation I can think of for all this is that Fergie really is a man.

The bride — who donned two one-of-a-kind Dolce & Gabbana dresses and Jimmy Choo shoes for the big day — tells Us exclusively that her Jan. 10 nuptials to her beau of about five years were “magical, ethereal.”

The affair — held on the lush grounds of the ultra-private 8,000-square-foot Church Estate Vineyard in Malibu, California — was all about small details that “incorporated both our personalities,” Duhamel tells Us.

“Lots of nature was important to Josh,” celeb planner Mindy Weiss tells Us. “I knew I could bling it up for Fergie.”

What did the groom think when he saw his bride walk down the aisle?

“Keep it together, you big baby!” he jokes to Us.

After their traditional Catholic ceremony, the party really got started. The bride’s first words to her crowd?

“She said, ‘I’m married, bitches!’” Wilhelmina president Sean Paterson tells Us. “People were cheering and screaming. It was like being at a rock concert.”

The two tied the knot under magnolias filled with white roses Saturday at an ultra-private ceremony at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu, Calif., Usmagazine.com can confirm. Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am was among the guests. (Around 5:09 p.m., attendees were overheard saying that the two had wed; cheers were also heard outside the estate.)

“It’s official! Fergie and Josh tied the knot tonight in Malibu,” her manager tells Us. “The Black Eyed Peas were all there. The ceremony was incredible! And they’re still partying!”

Fergie, 33, wore a fitted, white ruched, corseted wedding gown with a mesh tulle overlay, spaghetti straps and a long train designed by Dolce & Gabbana. The singer was draped in millions of dollars worth of one-of-a-kind diamonds by H.Stern.

Duhamel, 36, also wore Dolce & Gabbana, as did the bridesmaids (in black dresses) and groomsmen (in black suits and white ties).

The two exchanged H.Stern rings, with each band engraved with special personal messages by the bride and groom. Her engagement ring had a round, 4-carat brilliant cut diamond set amid other diamonds, with colors ranging from white to cognac. A narrow colored diamond wedding band was designed to match. Duhamel’s ring was made of 18K white gold with a brush finish.

The singer (real name: Stacy Ferguson), and Duhamel have been dating since 2004 after Duhamel confessed to In Style that she was his celeb crush.

“I had read in a magazine that he had a naughty dream about me,” Fergie told Playboy last year. “All my friends knew about him because he had been a soap opera star. I’m not into soap operas, but they told me, ‘You gotta go out with him. Do it for the group. Take one for the team.’

“Time went by, and I saw on the schedule that we were taping a show called Las Vegas, and I thought, ‘Is this the show he’s on?’” she went on. “We met, and I said, ‘I read you had a dream about me.’ He said yeah, and I asked, ‘Was it good?’ He said it was. So we hit it off.”

He popped the question in late 2007.

Of wedding plans, Fergie told USA Today, “I have a big stack of wedding magazines, and I’ve never picked one up before in my life.”

Duhamel recently told Entertainment Tonight that plans were “all going great. It’s fun, actually. We’re both really excited about it, and it will be good.”

Last month, Fergie told Blender married life won’t be so different for them.

“We’re practically married, anyway,” she said. “I’m madly in love with him. He understands how to treat a woman and give me respect.”

In her first significant leading role on the big screen, Fergie (Stacy Ann Ferguson) of the Black Eyed Peas has been cast as one of the final puzzle pieces in Rob Marshall’s ensemble musical, “Nine” for The Weinstein Company, Access Hollywood has learned exclusively. The casting will be announced Friday.

While there are several female leads in the film, including Academy Award winners Kate Hudson (announced Wednesday), Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Marion Cotillard, as well as Academy Award nominee Penelope Cruz, Fergie’s role will be significant.

The musical revolves around the women in the life of the male lead character, Guido Contini, who will be played by two-time Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis. The show is loosely based on the life of Italian director Federico Fellini, and inspired by his masterpiece, “8 ½.” “Nine” opened on Broadway in 1982 and was revived starring (amongst others) Antonio Banderas (and later, John Stamos), Mary Stuart Masterson, Jane Krakowski, Chita Rivera and Laura Benanti.

Fergie has had smaller roles on the big screen in recent years, including 2007’s “Grindhouse” and 2006’s “Poseidon.” She began her acting career on the small screen on the show “Kids Incorporated.”

Remember recently there were rumors that Fergie was pregnant, but then her mother denied them on the Ryan Seacrest radio show? Well it kind of looks like those rumors were true. Fergie and Josh were spotted last night in LA. The singer is known for her washboard stomach—which seems to have been replaced by a bump with a noticeably protruding belly button. Could be a bad angle, but I guess we’ll find out soon.
