Singer-actress Hilary Duff’s father is apologetic about his bitter two-and-a-half-year divorce battle and his recent stint in jail.

“I was unfaithful to our marriage,” Bob Duff tells Inside Edition in an interview airing Tuesday.

“I feel very badly about that and the effect it had on the girls,” he adds.

Bob spoke to Inside Edition after spending a day in jail for contempt of court.

“I have never been handcuffed before,” he says.

Bob says raising Hilary and Haylie Duff to be stars contributed to tension with his ex-wife, Susan.

“Susan was very consumed with the girls’ careers,” he says, admitting to extramarital affairs. “We simply grew apart.”

As part of his sentence, Bob was asked to pay $12,500 to his ex-wife for Hilary’s 21st birthday party and a present; Susan was seeking $25,000 for the charges. He will also have to pay $367,537 from the improper sale of stocks last month.

Everyone gives Hilary Duff a bad time because she got veneers and got all skinny but if you ask me, I think she looks pretty darn good. Get this! According to E!, Hilary Duff has been offered a role in the new 90210 series. Her character is named Annie Mills.  She is a Beverely Hills High student who is into theater and is dying to be popular and “accepted.” Supposedly this character is the new Brenda Walsh.  Doesn’t sound evil enough, does it? It sounds like a good role for Hilary Duff, since she really can’t act worth a shit.  But they need to make the new Brenda Walsh more evil because, let’s face it, Brenda Walsh was just Shannen Doherty acting like herself under the name “Brenda.”

If I could cast anyone as Brenda I would totally cast Angelina Jolie. Wouldn’t she make the most evil, hatred Brenda ever? It would be perfect. And I would make Kelly be Jennifer Aniston and then they could do that scene where Kelly f*cks up Brenda’s hair and turns it orange.  OMG could you just see the look on Angie’s face? Golden!
