Eva Mendes is one of the world’s sexiest starlets, so when it comes to the privacy of her own bedroom what is the actress’ ultimate indulgence?
“I have so many guilty pleasures! One of them is to eat in bed while watching television. It sounds kind of gross, but I absolutely love it,” Mendes told us. “I love to watch my favorite program with my food on a tray on my lap. I’ve learned however, that eating Indian may not be such a good thing to have in the bedroom. I’ve made that mistake before, so never again! But I am a huge snacker so you’ll always find me indulging in something.”
It comes as no surprise then that Mendes was recently named Magnum’s Global Pleasure Ambassador and spent last week in Istanbul to launch the world’s largest survey on pleasure. Never before have scientists delved into the science behind what causes pleasure, how to get more of it and triggers it — so the sultry starlet was on hand to add a stroke of sexiness to the scientific summit. The poll, aimed at discovering the human pleasure quotient (through a uniquely prepared test titled the “PQ” test), will survey 100,000 people all over the world and results will be released in a few months. So why does Miss Mendes think she was chosen for the gratifying gig?
“I love chocolate! I like chocolate like no-one else and I love indulging. In fact, I am all about pleasure. I am the girl who will get three massages a week — that’s my luxury and that’s where I spend most of my money,” she admitted. “I’m not a big shopper, but I love facials and spas and everything indulgent when it comes to the body and pampering. I am a girly girl at heart.”
Argh, all that chocolate and she still has a bangin’ body. …
“Oh no! Don’t hate me because seriously, I work out almost everyday — at least five days a week,” Mendes quipped. “I put in a lot of time at the gym to ensure that I am able to indulge at other times. Pleasure is pain.”
Well, sometimes.
But the “Hitch” hottie also offered a wealth of wisdom for women who also want to squeeze some more self-indulgence into their hectic lives.
“I think as women, we’re sometimes told not to ask for certain things, or to constantly put others before ourselves. These are nice characteristics but I think that women should learn to ask for what they want in all areas of their lives more than they currently do,” she explained. “I want to encourage the world to inject more pleasure into their lives and I think especially at this time in the world where it’s all doom and gloom it’s a fantastic time to talk about pleasure and work out how to get more pleasure into our lives.”
And although the 35-year-old starlet has been with her man, producer George Gargurevich, for seven years is there still a tiny bit of hope for the millions of men out there that wouldn’t mind getting to know the glamour gal a little better?
“I think sometimes society can put pressure on women to married at a certain age and to have kids at a certain age, but I think one of the great things about being a true individual is not listening to societal pressures and just to do what you want and not to be afraid to go on your own train,” Mendes added. “Children and marriage is just something that hasn’t interested me.”
That might be just as well seeing as though the Hollywood hottie is still causing a ruckus. Her risqué Calvin Klein ads (which featured her naked in bed) were banned from U.S airwaves last year.
“I don’t know why (it caused such a fuss) though. I thought it would be really fantastic and I was so proud to be the face of Calvin Klein and to be a part of their legacy. I think it was just way too much for the American public,” Mendes said with a smile.
So while it’s that smile that brings a smile too so many others (hence why she was recently named “Most Desirable” by Askmen.com) the actress/ambassador said being recognized for talent instead of appearance would actually give her far more personal pleasure.
It’s very cute and sweet but truthfully, I’d rather be nominated for an Oscar than to be voted number one in the looks department,” she added.

Hang on a second, I just can’t stop laughing. In a recent interview on the red carpet of some event, Eva Mendes said that she hates wearing anything with cleavage and does not like to ever reveal too much of her breasts.”I don’t wear short things. As for cleavage, I’ll bring the girls out at certain times but I don’t parade them too often. I like to keep them for special occasions!”
Umm. Is it my imagination or has the entire world seen the “girls” about 1,000 times over the past six months. It seems as if they are always out. They have been out more than Carson Kressley at a gay pride parade. I don’t know who she is kidding. Maybe she is just talking about red carpets or something, but to me this is just a bunch of crap. This is the kind of thing celebrities say when they can’t think of anything else to say but are desperate for attention and a quote and a story in some publication. It makes no sense.
So, her philosophy seems to be, prim and proper on the red carpet or in public, but when she is getting paid they are there for the looking. That seems kind of cheap but maybe she considers getting paid to show them off a special occasion. Stay classy Eva. Oh, and button up. Too much cleavage on those photos above. Must have been getting paid.

Eva Mendes apparently doesn’t think much of Jennifer Lopez as an actress and is not shy about letting the world know it. While she thinks Jennifer does a little of this and a little of that, Eva is busy concentrating on being the best actress around.Eva says that she actually cares about the craft of acting, while Jennifer is more concerned about the craft service. No, she didn’t say that, but she did say that Jennifer cares more for the money and perks that go with being an actress than the actual craft of acting itself.
“I would like to think I will have a more serious career than J.Lo. We may both be of Latin origin but that’s where the comparisons stop. She manages her career like the head of a big corporation, whereas the only thing I care about is becoming the best actress possible.”
Of course, Eva says this probably with a nice piece of hypocrisy in her mouth because, if I’m not mistaken hasn’t Eva been everywhere lately doing all that CK stuff? Not exactly about the profession of acting, but more trying to make a name for yourself and getting as much money in your hands as fast as possible. Plus, she could have made the photos less wild, but then the attendant publicity would not have been there. While I admit that Eva is a better actress than Jennifer, I would also admit that anyone who has memorized any lines to their favorite television show or film is a better actress than Jennifer.
And why all the animosity Eva? Why the harsh words? See, I think it is because she needs attention. You don’t have to say these kinds of things in an interview. You generally say them if you are just a very blunt person which Eva can be, but not always, or you are saying them for shock and attention which is the more likely scenario. Don’t worry Eva, Jennifer isn’t going to take that new role away that you both are up for. In fact, I don’t think it will be either of you, but that is just me. What the hell do I know?

Eva Mendes has revealed she has had sex in all of America’s 50 states.
Appearing at New York’s Mercedes Benz Fashion Week to promote her new line of fine bedding for Macys, Mendes announced during the launch party for designer Patricia Field’s upcoming line of `Sex & The City’ inspired fashions that she had had sex in all 50 states.
“A lot of it was on a road trip I took when I was younger,” Mendes elaborated, tattling that the best sex took place in Arizona and Colorado. “Maybe it was the clear air or the quiet or the endless sky,” she noted. “Whatever it was, it was really, really good.”
The worst for Mendes? Alaska. “I’d really like a do-over on that state,” she said before suggesting publicists at Alaska Air “sponsor a trip for me there for that purpose.”

According to NY Daily News Eva Mendes is the baddest of ‘The Women’
Playing a man-eater vixen who destroys a marriage won’t do any good to your image, not even if you have the dazzling looks of Eva Mendes.
“I went to the premier and saw people’s responses to my character and they were horrified,” says Mendes of the comedy-drama “The Women,” opening nationwide tonight.
“If they had tomatoes, they would’ve been throwing them at the screen,” she jokes.
In the movie, a remake of George Cukor’s 1939 film by the same name, Mendes plays Crystal Allen, a sultry Saks department store perfume girl who’s the mistress of Mary Haines’ (Meg Ryan) husband.
Furthermore, her role, made famous in the original film by Joan Crawford, has ignited a debate over whether she plays a stereotypical spitfire Latin female.
“Oh God, I can’t [put] out that pressure on myself,” she says. “I can’t worry about representing Latin people the whole time.”
Mendes admits that she, as an individual, is representing Latin people, “But I certainly can’t make every decision based on that.”
In doing the movie, she adds, she actually showed that she can take on different kinds of roles.
“I think Latin people would be very proud because I play Crystal Allen and she didn’t change into Crystal Rodríguez,” she says. “I’m not bound only to playing the roles of Latin characters.”
Mendes’ co-stars in the movie include top Hollywood ladies Annette Bening, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett Smith and Ryan.
“That’s happened,” she admits. “But I am not a vindictive person. And although people think I am fiery, in those kinds of situations, I actually become very, very methodical, and dangerously quiet.
“I get closer to you than I should,” she says.
But would she ever break up a marriage like her character?
“Are you crazy? I am just not that girl,” she says.
“I do have an attraction to men who are graying at the temples and whose last names are Clooney,” she adds playfully.
“He’s a friend by the way, it’s not anything.”

Eva Mendes is one happy camper, according to E! Online.
“I’m big on therapy,” Mendes told me yesterday. “I’ve always said I love talking about therapy, because there’s nothing wrong with it. Why wait until something goes terrible in your life to start fixing things?”
Mendes, 34, has never talked details about why she did a stint in rehab earlier this year, but she did tell me that one of her biggest issues was coping with her own success. “Up until recently, I was really uncomfortable with having success and enjoying it,” Mendes says. “I just couldn’t deal with that. How can I have so much? It’s not fair. How can the world have so little?…I allowed it to mess with me in the sense that I just didn’t know how to handle it.”
Things are different now. “I’ve really broken it down to this simple thing: I deal with everything by giving it away,” Mendes explains. “It’s genius. It works.”
She literally gives things away, like the new pair of Cartier sunglasses she insisted an elderly friend of hers keep when she tried them on. “I said, ‘You need to have them. They look really good on you,’ “ Mendes says.

So, are your proud of me? I managed to finally pull myself away from the Eva Mendes video just long enough to post something about Eva Mendes. Apparently she gave an interview to Parade. I’m still amazed that more stars don’t want to always give interviews to Parade, because honestly, I think that is the one portion of a Sunday paper that almost everyone in a family reads.
Anyway, in the interview she says that she does not want to get into the specifics of why she went to rehab because she doesn’t want her mom to get upset. She figures that if she doesn’t confirm or deny anything that somehow that will help her mom. She in turn also is encouraging bloggers and tabloids to speculate all we wants about why she went into rehab and that she doesn’t really care what we say.
“There are different stories about why I decided to get help for myself. People can speculate all they want. I’m not going to clear up the misconceptions. I have to think of the pain it might bring my mother.”
Well, as nice as it is to say that she went in to rehab because Xenu came to earth, tied her down, injected her with heroin and made her watch Days Of Thunder repeatedly it also seems like with what she is doing that she is probably causing her mom more pain than if she actually just spilled.
What is a mom to think when her own kid won’t say why she went to rehab and is so awful that it will crush her mother. To me that encourages worse speculation not only by us, but also her mom. Was it drugs, was it a pregnancy that went wrong? If it is your mother, what could possibly crush her? I doubt that getting addicted to Vicodin is really going to break her mom’s heart. Actually I think any of the prescription drugs are probably bad, but are not going to break the heart of mom. I think we can eliminate pot from the discussion also. Coke or heroin? That would probably break mom’s heart. Meth or crack? Eva was never that skinny so we can rule that out.
What about like doing drugs and the drugs caused you to have a miscarriage or something. That would necessitate a trip to rehab and it would probably break mom’s heart if you hadn’t told her you were pregnant.
See? This is why speculating and letting tabloids and bloggers license to do so. If I can come up with this, what is mom thinking?

Hollywood star Eva Mendes once carried a knife to protect herself from crazy fans after her nude scene in the 2001 hit movie training Day. The sexy actress admits she was “stupid” to keep the weapon, but insists it was part of her “controversial, Angelina Jolie” phase. She tells Interview magazine, “That was my controversial stage where I’d just started acting. I went through my little Angelina Jolie phase, like I was really tough. I had just come out in Training Day and I was nude in it, so I was getting a certain kind of attention.”And I did carry a little blade. My God, with obviously no intention to ever use it. I had Mace as well. But the blade sounded cooler in interviews. I was young and stupid.”

Eva Mendes, who quietly admitted herself into treatment at the Cirque Lodge in Utah in January, admits that she’s still “sensitive on the subject†of substance abuse problems.
The actress snapped at a reporter for Interview magazine who joked that Alcoholics Anonymous would have to be changed to Alcoholics Unanimous because of the prevalence of problems in Hollywood.
“I’m not making jokes, because people die from this stuff,†she says in the interview, which hits newsstands next week. “So, honestly, I think it’s a bit tacky that you made a joke. I’ve got to be honest.â€
Mendes, 34, had entered treatment for “personal issues,†her rep said, amid reports of drug use and body issues.
“There are so many lies out there regarding my recent trip to Cirque Lodge,†she says. “But I don’t care what people think. I just don’t care. So I will neither confirm nor deny.
“I’m not a spokesperson for any kind of substance-abuse organization,†she adds.
“I’m proud of people who have the determination and the fearlessness to actually go and face their demons and get better,†she says. “This is a life or death situation.â€
Mendes also says being a Cuban-American actress has helped her career – but Hollywood executives are slow to realize that ethnic diversity is “the future†of America.
“We are the future,†she says. “I mean, we’re all just mixing together that much more. We are the future in that sense. I don’t mean Latinos, I just mean ethnic diversity.â€
Though Mendes – who stars in the upcoming films The Women (September) and The Spirit (December) – thinks “being a woman in Hollywood is a big enough challenge†because of “the lack of roles,†she says she is often passed over for roles.
“What makes it frustrating is when a director or a studio head doesn’t see me for the same part that they’ll see, let’s say, Drew Barrymore for,†Mendes says.
“Drew’s a great friend of mine,†Mendes adds. “But it’s like, ‘No, we want more of an American type of girl.’ And it’s like, American has opened up. I’m an American girl, born and raised.â€
But Mendes doesn’t consider it a challenge and thinks it’s harder for Asian stars: “We have so many Asian girls in this country, and they’re so not represented up on the screen.â€
