Maybe seeing themselves on the big screen was too much to take for “Sex and the City” stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis. Apparently, soon after the movie’s release, they both paid a visit to Roosevelt Hospital on 10th Avenue for minor surgeries. “Cynthia had a breast augmentation and soon after, Kristin had the varicose veins on her legs removed,” said an insider. “They both made sure they did it on the quietest day of the week.” It could explain why Davis always wears long hems. Nixon, whose rep denied the surgery, could have been disappointed with her topless scene. Davis’ rep had no comment.

Becoming a mother may not be the only change Jessica Alba’s body has gone through recently. There is a growing

Hollywood trend of getting a rhinoplasty (nose job) and then trying to pass it off as a medical treatment to alleviate breathing problems. Ashley Tisdale of “High School Musical” may just be another star jumping on this bandwagon, joining the likes of Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston who have also insisted they had nose jobs only for the sake of repairing deviated septums. The only problem is that these celebrity noses appear to be improved cosmetically and that their procedures are not technically only medical – they are outright plastic surgery.

The 22-year old Tisdale had a five-hour surgery on Friday in

Los Angeles to repair a nose septum that was 80% percent deviated and to correct two small nose fractures. Tisdale claims that prior to the surgery her breathing problems worsened to the point that she could no longer breathe from her right nostril. “Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing,” Tisdale told People on Monday from her

Los Angeles home. “The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose.”Tisdale vehemently denies having gotten the surgery for cosmetic reasons and says that she is not a supporter of plastic surgery.“I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose,” said Tisdale.“I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me.”It is quite commendable that Tisdale was so open about her surgery, as she probably knows that rumors would soon abound about her surgery if she kept mum about it. Only time will tell if the nose job that Tisdale got was done for medical reasons, or if it imparted a few cosmetic benefits. Looking at Tisdale’s old nose it seems that her bridge twists to the right slightly at the top, but is otherwise quite a nice nose that does not require cosmetic enhancement. While Tisdale’s case may indeed prove to be a medical necessity, it is likely that her corrective surgery will have some cosmetic benefits and that the star had taken the opportunity to also improve upon her nose while repairing her deviated septum.In other cases, Cameron Diaz is a fine example of a star who claims to have gotten a septoplasty only for medical reasons. Rumors are swirling that Sir Paul McCartney underwent facial plastic surgery in

New York shortly before an operation in September of last year to address a heart murmur.

The 65-year old singer is rumored to have gotten a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) that removed severe hooding of skin above his eyes and sagging crepey skin in the under eye area. Additionally, McCartney’s crows feet appear smoothed out, possibly hinting that the singer had Botox or Restylane injections to fill in the creases.

Plastic surgeon Alex Karidis agreed that something looked refreshed with McCartney’s eyes. “His lower eyelids look different. On the newer pictures, that area is a lot clearer.”

On the other hand, the two photos shown of McCartney have the singer in dramatically different facial gestures which may have exaggerated the disappearing effect of the wrinkles and sagging skin around the eyes. Additionally, Paul McCartney appears to have lost some weight between the two photos, giving the singer a more youthful look overall.

The singer’s spokesperson has denied the rumors.

With McCartney fighting it out with his ex wife Heather Mills, it is possible that the legal battle has taken its toll on Paul’s face who felt it necessary to dip in the youthful fountain of a plastic surgeon.

Interestingly, Heather Mills herself is rumored to have gotten plastic surgery, including a nose job, liposuction and breast augmentation.

Simon Cowell has finally owned up to his plastic surgery secret that has kept his youthful forehead astonishingly free of any wrinkles or lines. The 47-year old Cowell admits to getting botox regularly, but denies having plastic surgery.

What spurred Cowell’s confession about using Botox was an attack from co-judge Louis Walsh on the television show The X Factor, who accused Cowell of getting as much surgery as Sharon Osbourne.

“No, absolutely not. I have not had cosmetic surgery. Yes, I’ve had Botox, but not in an obsessive way,” says Cowell.

Cowell dismissed rumors that he uses hair color to hide gray hairs. “I’ve never dyed my hair, ever and I wouldn’t,” says Cowell.

The American Idol judge previously spoke about how he thought that cosmetic surgery looks unattractive on men.

“I wouldn’t have plastic surgery, it looks ridiculous on guys,” said Cowell.

Simon Cowell says that his youth regimen consists of doing exercises at home and in his office. “I’d do 100 press-ups before I get in the bath in the morning, then at work after a meeting, I’ll shut the door and do more.”

It is admirable that Simon Cowell is comfortable in his skin and is looking forward to aging without any cosmetic intervention. Looking at Cowell closely, his face looks youthful, except for the crows feet from the sides of his eyes and slight under eye bags.

For many men, the combination of natural weight gain and the aging process will lead them to develop gynecomastia at some point in their lives as in the case of Simon Cowell, Harrison Ford, and John Travolta. While gynecomastia is not a serious physical threat to health, it can lead to increased self consciousness for the person.

Despite the swirling plastic surgery rumors about Jennifer Hudson having gotten breast implants, the Oscar winning actress has dismissed these claims and has gone on record to say that she will never need to have plastic surgery.
