A judge says Mel Gibson will have to answer questions about planning and filming “The Passion of the Christ” in response to a screenwriter’s lawsuit.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gregory Alarcon on Tuesday ordered Gibson to appear for a deposition by mid-January. Gibson’s attorneys had tried to keep him from having to answer questions regarding his blockbuster film about Jesus’ last hours.

Screenwriter Benedict Fitzgerald is suing Gibson, claiming he was underpaid for his work on “Passion.”

Fitzgerald’s attorneys claimed Tuesday that his payments were eroded by Gibson’s spending habits while filming the movie in Italy, including “tens of thousands” of dollars on his children’s education and a $78,000 chiropractor bill.

Talk about falling in love with yourself. Well, U.S. singer Pink seems to know all about that.

In her latest music video Sober the star gives narcissism a try as she makes love to herself.

The sultry scenes see the So What singer don fishnet tights and a black bra as she gets acquainted with a double of herself.

The video was created using camera trickery and digital mastery in order to present a convincing interaction between the two Pinks.

Despite the title track, the singer hardly stays tee total during the video.
At times she is seen guzzling down alcohol and partying, and in one scene viewers will see Pink jostle with her clone’s bra straps.

She also appears in an angelic white wig at various intervals, complete with long white nails.

The song is second track taken from Pink’s fifth studio album.

On Sunday night the star was out in force and performed at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.
Other attendees included Beyoncé Knowles, Christina Aguilera and Rhiannna.

The Cruises were among the first to welcome the Beckham clan to America, but for more than five months the two families have not been photographed together.

But any rift between Hollywood’s biggest celebrity families appears to be healed as the couples celebrated Thanksgiving eve.

David and Victoria Beckham and their three sons were pictured with Tom Cruise and his older children Connor and Isabella.

Tom’s wife Katie Holmes and their two-year-old daughter Suri were absent from the gathering.

But after meeting Tom in downtown New York the Beckhams left their sons with a babysitter while they went to watch Katie in her hit Broadway play All My Sons.

Along the way David gallantly stepped in to help up a female photographer who had fallen over while walking backwards to take the couple’s photo.

Victoria, stylishly dressed in a close-fitting pencil-skirted dress, waited patiently as her husband assisted the woman.

Thanksgiving is one of the biggest holidays in the American calendar, traditionally marked by a family celebration, so to be spending it together perhaps marks a resurgence of the close friendship the Beckhams once enjoyed with the Cruises.

After initially being pictured constantly together - be it shopping, eating out or publicly supporting each other’s work - the relationship between the two families apparently soured.

This was rumoured to be because the Beckhams had refused to consider joining the Scientology religion - a subject close to Tom’s heart.

But there were also reports that after months spent helping Katie develop an interest in fashion, Victoria became jealous when the former Dawson’s Creek actress was asked to appear on the front cover of Vogue magazine.

A year after Kanye_West’s mother, Donda, 58, died while recovering from plastic surgery, PEOPLE has learned that California authorities have launched a probe into the possible role of Donda West’s nephew, Stephan Scoggins, 46.

A registered nurse, Scoggins was supervising West’s post-surgery care with West’s assistant and a friend when, according to a source familiar with the situation, he left the house to attend a baby shower the day after West underwent breast reduction and liposuction last Nov. 10. West died that evening at a Los Angeles hospital.

At the time, the death of the rapper’s mother was described by a family spokesman as “the result of complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure,” a statement that placed intense scrutiny on West’s surgeon, Dr. Jan Adams.

But last January, a Los Angeles coroner ruled that West died of “multiple post-operative factors,” effectively clearing Dr. Adams of responsibility.

In this new development, an investigator with the California Department of Consumer Affairs has issued subpoenas asking individuals “to testify in the matter of the investigation of Stephan Scoggins,” a source tells PEOPLE.

WEST’S CONDITION
The California Department of Consumer Affairs represents the California Board of Registered Nursing, of which Scoggins is a member. A public information officer for the consumer affairs department, Russ Heimerich, told PEOPLE: “We do not comment on ongoing investigations.” Scoggins – who risks losing his nursing license if complaints against him are substantiated – could not be reached for comment.

According to an autopsy report, a heavily-bandaged West was able to walk out of the medical facility after nearly five and a half hours of surgery last November. The report further stated, “[West] opted to return to her home for care even though she was advised that she receive post-operative care at another facility.”

That night, West took Vicodin for pain, slept and felt better in the morning. Later in the day, a source tells PEOPLE, Scoggins left West’s home to attend a baby shower and was unreachable when her condition worsened. According to the autopsy report, West experienced pain, a sore throat and tightening in her chest before collapsing in the early evening. A friend at the house called 911 and West was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead in the emergency room.

The source also says investigators are looking into the possibility that Scoggins administered too much Vicodin in a short period of time. In an interview with PEOPLE last year, Dr. Adams said he and Scoggins discussed West’s care briefly, but did not establish a detailed plan. “There’s no set regimen, like you need to do this and this,” he said.

A rep for Kanye West did not return repeated messages seeking comment.

The courts have denied a request made by Linda Hogan’s boyfriend, who was seeking a restraining order against Linda’s estranged husband, Hulk Hogan, Access Hollywood has learned.

In court papers obtained by Access, Charley Hill, 20, claims Hulk (whose real name is Terry Bollea) has been following and threatening him.

However, the court denied Hill’s request.

Following the court’s ruling, David Houston, an attorney for Hulk, released the following statement to Access:

“This is just another blatant attempt by Linda Hogan to try to defame Hulk Hogan’s character. We commend the judge on seeing through this ridiculous stunt and denying these baseless claims.”

Linda, 49, filed for divorce from Hulk, 55, in November 2007 after 24 years of marriage.

Back in August, Hulk sat down with Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos to open up on his split from his wife.

“As crazy as that sounds to say, I wish I was still with my wife,” Hulk told Maria.

“There have been rumors that maybe this divorce was a ploy to protect your assets,” Maria said.

“If this is a ploy, her being intimate with a 19-year-old kid is pretty good acting,” Hulk added. “For me to be able to handle… my 50-year-old wife sleeping in a bed with a 19-year-old boyfriend and using my gym, and driving my cars, and living in my house. I guess we’ve got a pretty good act going on ’cause that’s a lot to take on.”

The 50-year-old pop diva and the 33-year-old Yankee were spotted exiting a private jet in Miami early Tuesday morning, along with their manager, Guy Oseary. Madge then got into A-Rod’s waiting Maybach and the two drove off into the sunrise.

Looks like A-Rod & Madge will be celebrating the end of the U.S. leg of her appropriately-titled “Sticky and Sweet” tour in Miami tonight.

We’ve heard it before, but folks inside Whitney Houston’s circle of pals again insist the on-the-rebound diva and ex-husband Bobby Brown may be getting back together.

The official word from Camp Houston sticks to to the old line about the divorced couple remaining separate, ”but good friends whose primary interest is the well-being of their daughter.” Yet, several Georgia sightings of Houston and Brown in recent days — clearly looking very romantic while dining together — seem to boost the reliability of what I’m hearing. I’m also hearing that the divorced couple’s daughter Bobbi Kristina is eager for her parents to remarry.

Meanwhile, the singer is facing another round of legal woes, stemming from an ongoing lawsuit filed last May by Whitney’s stepmother, Barbara Houston. In the lawsuit, first reported by tmz.com, Barbara Houston claimed Whitney was the beneficiary of a $1 million insurance policy left by her late father, John Houston. However, the suit further claims his estate instructions called for those funds to be used to retire the balance of the mortgage loan owed Whitney on his New Jersey condominium, with Barbara getting the remainder of the funds.

Whitney disputes all of Barbara Houston’s claims and is continuing to fight the case.

Houston herself was the target of a $100 million lawsuit her dad filed against her shortly before his death, claiming he was owed the megabucks for management fees never paid. John Houston long managed both his ex-wife Cissy Houston’s career, as well as Whitney’s at various points.

Both father and daughter always maintained that lawsuit, settled before John Houston’s death in 2003, ”was strictly about business” and never had an impact upon their personal relationship, said to be quite close at the time of his demise.

After all the moving in and the fallings out, the first proposal and the post-engagement lull, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag eloped last Thursday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Now that they’ve made it official, what will their marriage mean for the show that has chronicled their relationship over the past four seasons?

Will the next season of “The Hills” feature footage captured during Speidi’s wedding ceremony? What have Heidi and Spencer been up to since they tied the knot? To find out, we reached out to executive producer Liz Gateley.

While she couldn’t tell us everything, she did say that the couple’s married life will figure prominently on the series’ upcoming fifth season, and that cameras are still down in Mexico, documenting the couple’s honeymoon. There’s still no word on when new episodes of “The Hills” will be ready for air, however.

“MTV is currently filming Heidi and Spencer in Mexico, as we were expecting to capture them on vacation,” Gateley told MTV News. “Fans will be able to see the exclusive footage from the ceremony in an upcoming episode, and we will continue to follow the newlyweds’ relationship as it plays out in real life.”

While most fans of the show seemed to question the wisdom of the marriage, and their family appeared shocked by the elopement, some celebrities and fellow “Hills” stars congratulated the couple on Tuesday.

“They obviously adore each other and are very committed to one another,” Audrina Patridge told People. “I do think it’s very romantic that they eloped.”

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, the reality-TV couple whose on-again, off-again relationship has been chronicled by MTV’s “The Hills” and celebrity magazines, appear on the Wednesday cover of Us Weekly with the headline “Heidi & Spencer Elope!”

But the couple acknowledged Wednesday that their wedding ceremony near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico — featured in a photo spread in the magazine — was symbolic, and not legally binding. At least not yet.

“We had a beautiful ceremony here … officiated by a minister and photographed by the hotel photographer. We’ve never been happier,” said the couple in a statement provided by Us Weekly. “And, like other elopements that happen outside the country, we’ll take care of the legal details when we get home.”
They did not say specifically when where they would seek to make their marriage official, which would likely require a separate ceremony in the U.S.

The public pair provided photos to the magazine for its issue on newsstands Wednesday showing their ceremony at a chapel near Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Nov. 20. The accompanying story features an interview with Montag and Pratt, as well as details about the rings, Montag’s dress, and the content of their handwritten vows.

The story doesn’t note that they had neither obtained a marriage license nor taken part in a separate civil ceremony, which is required by Mexican law to make the union binding.

A couple can register their marriage up to 10 days after a ceremony, but California does not recognize marriage ceremonies outside the United States, according to the state’s Department of Public Health. A couple can petition a court later to have their marriage legally recognized.

Us Weekly’s report, which was picked up by numerous celebrity magazines and blogs, said that none of the couple’s friends or relatives was in attendance. Some people close to the couple said they were caught off-guard.

“Everybody’s pretty upset,” Montag’s sister, Holly Montag, told MTV on Monday. Montag’s father, Bill Montag, told People magazine that he’d be dismayed if his daughter got married and didn’t invite him.

If the story were true, he added, “Then we just have to have another wedding here!”

Us Weekly, which has featured the couple in numerous cover stories and photo spreads, reported that the two decided to get married while drinking margaritas on the beach. An hour later, they were exchanging vows, the magazine said.

Americans who wish to get married in Mexico must go through a process that takes about five days, according to Mexico’s foreign relations department Web site. They must obtain a health certificate, including blood test results from a local doctor; and provide official translations of legal documents, such as birth certificates.

Only civil, nonreligious marriages conducted in Mexico are valid internationally. Peter Grossman of Us Weekly, who conducted the wedding-day interview with Pratt, 25, and Montag, 22, confirmed that the two exchanged rings and handwritten vows in front of a minister.

“Heidi and Spencer are two people in love who had a beautiful wedding ceremony to celebrate that,” Grossman said. “The pictures and words in our issue this week bear that out.”

“The Hills” executive producer Liz Gateley said Wednesday that the couple’s wedding and honeymoon will appear in future episodes of the MTV reality show.

That something, while undisclosed, is most likely her being on television. Good to see the medical community looking out for people worldwide. I guess this means a happy Thanksgiving dinner for her family. Maybe she will be invited this year?

How many of you have helped with some kind of holiday decorations. I know many of you might not celebrate Christmas but surely you have helped out with some Halloween decorations or taking some kind of rarely used box down from a shelf, the garage or the attic. Everyone has.

See if this sounds familiar. There are two of you. The idiot, in this couple can generally be found at the top of a ladder if you are lucky. If they are not lucky they are swaying precariously on a bar stool while standing on their tip toes trying to reach the box that was shoved six feet above their head about a year prior. The idiot then attempts to lift a 30 pound box with the tips of their fingers while the person down below looks serious, but is in fact laughing their ass off. At this point, the idiot is either successful, falls over or drops the box on the unsuspecting person below.

Well, Jamie Hince and Kate Moss would have us to believe that the black eye, and cuts and bruises they acquired were as a result of Jamie being on a ladder, then somehow dropping the box on Kate Moss and at the same time finding a way to get under the box so it also landed on top of him as well. Umm. This is like watching the Seinfeld re-enactment of the JFK shooting. I don’t think its possible, but I have to admit that this is probably the most inventive story I have heard in a long time. Just for that, I am going to give them the first holiday b.s. pass. I don’t believe your story, but it is damn good so from now on I will treat it as gospel.

Mariah Carey was on Ellen yesterday and refused to actually drink any champagne Ellen offered her. Ellen then accused Mariah of being pregnant. Please. That would involve Mariah having sex and honestly, probably Nick would have to cleanse himself for 24 hours prior to any sexual act with Mariah and not physically touch her during the act. Of course we could believe Mariah when she said that she doesn’t drink before 3pm. It was a Wednesday. Who says that? People are at work for 3 or 4 more hours and she is already drinking. I guarantee you though that if she says 3pm, she drinks earlier. She just knows it’s weird to the world if she says noon.

Mariah having a baby. I don’t think Mariah is unselfish enough to have a baby.
