She Has Plans For Second Album

Scarlett Johansson is planning a follow-up to her first music record, just months after its release.

Scarlett Johansson released her debut album, “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” a collection of Tom Waits covers, in May.

And she admits she’s keen to try her hand at music again, despite receiving disappointing reviews from critics.

She says, “It was fantastic to do that album. Not only live with that music that I love everyday, but I just worked with such wonderful musicians who are so talented.”

But Johansson admits she’s not in a rush - because she has yet another career path in mind.

She adds, “I would love to do another album. Right now, though, I’d like to focus on developing something to direct.”

Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson is denying that she snubbed the premiere of Woody Allen’s latest movie, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” because movie bosses refused to cater to her diva like demands. The sexy actress who stars in the new film alongside Penelope Cruz, was expected to grace the red carpet at the Cannes International Film Festival on Saturday, but was absent from the premiere. And Johansson was soon at the center of rumors that movie chiefs at the French arm of Warner Bros Films, the production’s distributors, denied her extravagant hospitality expectations, including a $8,000-a-day make-up artist. But the actress has hit back at the claims, with her representative telling Page Six that she was only absent due to unavoidable “scheduling conflicts.”

Hollywood star Scarlette Johansson has always dreamed of becoming a bride, according to her close friend Roland Mouret. Mouret insists the 23-year-old has longed for years to marry and settle down. He tells People.com, “It’s something she’s really wanted - to meet someone and get married. She’s just such a great person and I’m so happy for her and wish her every happiness. She deserves it.” And although Johansson helped Mouret make a name for himself when she wore his coral gown to the 2005 Golden Globes, he is adamant he is not the designer selected to create a wedding dress for the bride-to-be: “No, no - it’s not me!” Johansson and 31-year-old Ryan Reynolds announced their engagement on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in Manhattan.

Scarlett Johansson has become engaged to her actor boyfriend Ryan Reynolds after a one year courtship.

The Lost In Translation actress looked delighted as she showed off her new diamond ring for the first time as she attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City last night.

The 23-year-old and Canadian beau Reynolds, 31, started dating in March 2007 - a month after the Just Friends actor ended his three-year engagement to singer Alanis Morissette.

Johansson’s representative Marcel Pariseau confirmed the couple’s engagement to People magazine on Monday.

She said: “They’re both thrilled.”

Pariseau declined to say exactly when the couple got engaged, but admitted it was recently. They are yet to set a wedding date.

Johansson initially denied reports in February that the couple were getting married after she was spotted looking at wedding gowns at the Monique Lhuillier boutique in LA.

Before she starting dating Reynolds last year, Johansson was in a two-year relationship with her Black Dahlia co-star Josh Hartnett and previously dated actor/singer Jared Leto.

Friends of the couple believe they may delay the wedding until after this year because they are so busy.

Johansson’s debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head is released on May 20 and she has two movies Vicky Cristina Barcelona and He’s Just Not That Into You coming out this summer.

She is currently filming New York, I Love You in her hometown of NYC, while Reynolds is currently making romantic comedy The Proposal with Sandra Bullock four hours away in Boston.

Scarlett Johansson has said she hopes her debut album will show she’s more than just a pretty Hollywood actress.

The Other Boleyn Girl star decided to cover a series of Tom Waits tracks for her album ‘Anywhere I Lay My Head’, which is due to be released next month, and she hopes her interpretation of their darkness will help show her depth as a human being.

She told Spin magazine recently: “I have platinum blonde hair, and I’m extremely curvy: I pour myself into a dress and show up and strut my stuff at premieres.”“Of course I expect people will have certain ideas but it’s weird if people associate the fact that I sell handbags or wear a bikini with who I am when I wake up in the morning.”

“When I had the idea to do an album of Tom Waits songs, before I had even met Dave [Sitek], someone suggested I sing ‘Falling Down,’” Johansson tells Spinner. “But I decided it was too corny for me to do just because it has the lyric about ‘Scarlett and me.’ But Dave hadn’t even noticed it. When I mentioned it, he thought the synchronicity was crazy and I never even thought twice about it after that. I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’”
“With ‘Falling Down,’ our pursuit of making one song with both Kermit the Frog and David Bowie on it became a success,” Sitek adds.

According to a report in the Boston Herald, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson were having a very heated argument right in front of the entire world. OK, well at least in downtown Boston.“The Ryan guy was clearly being a baby,” said our spy. “She kept grabbing his arm and he’d yank it away and she’d keep saying ‘Ry, come on, Ry. Stop.’

You know how you know this source knows what they are talking about? No one could make up that Ry s**t. It sounds just like something Scarlett would call him, and I can also see Ry Ry being a big baby.

“He kept switching directions on the sidewalk like he wanted her to leave, responding over and over, ‘Roger that!’ - whatever that was supposed to mean.”

Giving Scarlett the cold shoulder while I guess he was talking on the phone or something. If he was actually walking down the sidewalk mumbling “Roger that!” to himself, then I don’t think we can discount that Scarlett was helping him get through the splitting pain in his head from the voodoo needles Alanis sends into his body each and every day.

The hostilities ceased when the couple noticed that there was a photographer trailing them.

Ahh nothing like some hand holding when the photographers come rolling your way. Hey, the guy says he is 32 and she is 23, so there is a big age gap.
