As Kate Hudson continues sleeping her way through the Hollywood phone book, she has taken pause for a moment, to go back to a name she has crossed off several times. Apparently she likes to beat dogs, or beat down men, or just kick them in the nuts repeatedly. According to Star Magazine, Kate has been calling Owen Wilson and trying to reel him back in for some sport fishing. You know, just in case he would like to be crushed again.

Star says that Owen was frosty to the idea at first. Oh, not because she has beaten him down and broken him or even possibly was the result of his suicide attempt. No, the reason he was frosty was that she had been doing one of his best friends. Well, Kate managed to skate right through that one, and Owen did his awww shucks thing and now they are talking on the phone.

Now, we all know that talking leads to coffee which leads to dating which leads to Owen getting stepped on again when Kate takes a shine to some other guy that Owen is close to. I would say a brother, but she probably knows to stay well clear of their path. If you are Owen, you need to stick with that woman you were hanging out at the beach with last week, or go smoke with Woody or do something other than getting back together with Kate Hudson. If he ends up with her again, he needs to turn in his man card and go sit next to Zav Efron in the Ryan Seacrest Room watching Scarface on a continuous loop until he is healed.

The Darjeeling Limited star Owen Wilson was out and about in New York City’s West Village on a bicycle ride. When asked if Wilson’s decision to go for a bike ride had anything to do with the recent news about Wilson’s old flame Kate Hudson dating cyclist Lance Armstrong, Wilson shook his head “no,” and added, “Nah, I just wanted to experience this glorious and wonderful New York afternoon and have a little fun while I’m at it.” Wilson also said that he hadn’t heard about Hudson being linked to Armstrong because he’s too busy working on a film and spending plenty of time at headquarters (and by headquarters, he meant the New York City strip clubs).

As Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong canoodle their way through Cannes and Monaco, Hudson’s ex, Owen Wilson, is left to drown his sorrows in the company of Hudson lookalikes, according to reports from OK! magazine.

Wilson, who has been in Philadelphia working on the film “Marley & Me,” is said to have been spotted getting cozy with a blonde lady friend at a local Rick’s Cabaret on May 15, then at club G on May 16. A clubgoer told OK! that the actor “looked pretty upset” and was “drinking and sulking.”

A friend of the former couple also told the magazine that they didn’t expect Hudson to be the one to break things off with Wilson. “We all thought it would be Owen breaking Kate’s heart, but it turned out to be the other way around,” the source said. “It’s sad because deep down, they love each other.”

OWEN Wilson has handled his latest bust-up with Kate Hudson a lot better this time around - by immersing himself in blondes, boobs and beer.

Last August, the Butterscotch Stallion, depressed and despondent, reportedly tried to commit suicide after he and Hudson called it quits. But after the on-again, off-again lovebirds broke up this month for the second time, Wilson merely headed straight for a Philadelphia strip club last Thursday and partied with a topless Hudson look-alike, sources tell Page Six.

“He spent 41/2 hours at Rick’s Cabaret and was in an upbeat mood,” one spy said. “He watched the Flyers game, drank beer, and when a parade of 75 half-naked girls caught his eye, he asked for dances from several and definitely had a preference for blondes. He tipped at least one with a $100 bill.”

Later, a luscious blonde who resembled Hudson spent some private time with Wilson in a VIP suite. “If he had any problems, you’d never know it. He didn’t seem upset in the least,” the buxom look-alike told us. “People tell me I look like Kate, and it didn’t bother him at all.” Another stacked dancer had a slightly different take. “He seemed to have other things on his mind. Usually, my 36D boobs can hypnotize anyone - but his mind was elsewhere,” she said.

Wilson, in Philly shooting “Marley & Me,” stayed till closing time at 2 a.m. His rep, Ina Treciokas, didn’t respond to our call or e-mail.

Hudson, meanwhile, isn’t letting any grass grow under her feet. On the same night, she and Lance Armstrong were spotted at the after-party for Kid Rock’s Madison Square Garden show at Wildwood Barbeque. The cozy pair was also seen over the weekend in Texas, where they dined together twice in Austin. “They looked like they were having fun,” a source told People.

Owen Wilson was filming winter scenes in the beautiful West Chester PA for Marley and Me. It may be springtime, but it looks like a winter wonderland!

BTW if you never been to West Chester, PA you should visit it if you are ever near Philadelphia because it is just so beautiful over there!

Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson have finally confirmed that they are dating because their friends are confirming to People that they have split.

Last week Owen Wilson was seen in a club in Manhattan according to a source.

“He was pretty chummy with the ladies … he was certainly doing some sweet talking,” according to an onlooker. “He looked happy to be there hanging with them.” The late-night outing was followed by a visit to Butter the next night, where he chatted up a sexy blonde. Says a Hudson source: “She feels dumb thinking it was so serious.”

Hopefully Owen Wilson won’t take it as hard this time.

Another split

People is also reporting that Shania Twain and her husband Robert “Mutt” Lange are also splitting. The two have been married for 14 years, 3 years less than there age difference

Yeah, I know, that’s Matthew McAunadouche, sorry, it was the best I could do on a Monday morning.

The Sun says, “Kate supported Owen during his low patch and that proved to him she’s the woman he wants to be with for ever. He picked out the ring and went for the biggest one he could find. He was nervous about proposing but Kate was thrilled and the whole thing was really emotional. The engagement is a natural step forward for them both and Kate’s ecstatic.”

However, Us Magazine claims to have exclusive confirmation from Kate and Owen’s rep that they are not engaged:

She’s definitely not engaged,” a rep for Hudson tells Usmagazine.com. A rep for Wilson, 39, also confirms the rumors are wrong.
The reason for the false uproar? Hudson, 29, was spotted wearing a diamond ring in Boston.
“She’s shooting a movie called Bride Wars, which explains the ring,” adds her rep.

I see, the old “I am in character” maneuver! I would say that poor Owen could use a woman in his life right now for self preservation.

If you happened to be in Miami over the weekend you might have got to see Owen Wilson, Richie Sambora and Vince Vaughn all hanging out together. Hopefully there were no joyrides with kids this time. Honestly I don’t know if this is the combination that screams sobriety for any of these three. I mean Vince hasn’t been to rehab, but it isn’t like he doesn’t need to go. I think anyone who actually has sex with Jennifer Aniston seriously needs to consider whether or not they need to go to rehab. OK, OK, that was mean. I could see why he had sex with her, what I don’t see is how he could have had a relationship with her. So, Vince has had sex with her and Owen Wilson is in a film pretending to have sex with her. That is what they call a six degrees of separation 3some. Well if the conversation got awkward they could both ask Richie why he allegedly went drinking and driving with his kid in the car. It is a really unlikely trio, but according to people at the Shore Club the party was wild and everybody was drinking.

The photographer of this particular picture has assured his bosses and the editors of various weekly tabloid magazines that if they squint and stare real hard at the computer screen, they’ll see it’s a photo of Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson in a semi-romantic embrace. The photographer hopes to usher in a new era/style of paparazzi similar to the Magic Eye craze of mid 1990s. If one stares long enough, they’ll be able to see some one famous.

Hollywood star Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are getting serious after celebrating her 29th birthday on a lunch date with the troubled star and his parents. The actress celebrated her big day on Saturday when she dined out with Owen and his family at Gloria Estefan’s restaurant Lario’s in Miami, Florida. And the couple appeared to be having a great time. A source tells People.com, “The four of them sat away from the crowds and had a blast. Kate and Owen looked very happy and were talking up a storm to Owen’s parents.” They then enjoyed a night out with Hudson’s girl pals at the city’s Shore Club, where the couple kissed and “were very sweet looking”.The source adds, “It was super lovey-dovey.”

woodyclimbingthumb.jpgInstead of fussing over headlines linking Owen Wilson to Jennifer Aniston on the set of Marley & Me, should Kate Hudson be more worried about the allure of Woody Harrelson’s positively perfect butt? Looking downright McConaughey-esque (at least from behind), Harrelson displayed enviable the enviable skill of Olympic-style cliff-climbing while nude during a swim sesh with longtime pal Wilson in Miami over the weekend. And we couldn’t be more delighted. Not only have these pictures edged Woody much higher on our list of celebrity crushes, but they’ve given The Daily Mail the opportunity to Photoshop a mini-animated tale of Woody’s butt’s ascent from the Atlantic. Though we highly doubt Owen will fall for the Woodster’s cheeks, we couldn’t resist taking a closer look ourselves after the jump, including a peek at Owen’s much more demure choice of swimwear.

After seeing Woody very impressively hoist himself from the water to the cliff, we would like to get in touch with his trainer. Not as impressive are his tan lines, but with a behind like that, we’ll forgive him.

As Woody happily trots back to the cabana with nary a care for who spots him, Owen takes a dive into the water wearing a much more standard pair of trunks. Which is sad, since we’d be more than happy to see Wilson follow in Woody’s footsteps the next time around.

Jennifer looks cute and has been annoying me much less lately. Dare I say, I am starting to like her. With that said, I would like to see her and Owen get together. Of course Owen and Kate are supposbly a thing but come on, Jennifer is much less of a floozy. I wonder how the film “Marley & Me” will be. Can Jennifer escape the character Rachel Green? I have never seen her as too accomplished of an actress. Her best role was on “Friends”, an overrated show with bad jokes and a good timeslot to make up for it. I hope she can get away from Rachel in one of her upcoming projects.

Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson were spotted going for a movie together and holding hands. The two  looked relaxed and happy as soon as they realized they were being watched, Owen let go of Kate’s hand. DAMN!

<130%;">A passerby said: “Owen and Kate looked completely head-over-heels. But when they saw they were being watched, he let go of her hand and walked ahead of her.”<130%;">So apparently,  all of those reports regarding Jen Aniston and Owen Wilson’s budding romance were just mere rumors. Hate that!

THE show business adage that “there’s no such thing as bad publicity” is probably true about 99% of the time. But as the media — and its consumers — grow obsessively focused on the personal struggles of Hollywood stars, there are rare instances when even a little free exposure can be problematic.

On Friday, Paramount Pictures will release “Drillbit Taylor,” a new comedy starring Owen Wilson as a bodyguard hired by several high school students looking for bully protection. The film has been accompanied by most of the marketing efforts typically associated with a national theatrical release — including television promotions and coming attractions previews — but you can look far and wide and not find Wilson conducting the kind of interviews that stars of his caliber usually do when they have a big movie to promote.

The intentional choice not to sit Wilson down with television reporters, print journalists and talk show hosts is understandable. The studio worried that rather than let Wilson plug the movie and its comic pedigree (”Drillbit Taylor” was produced by “Knocked Up’s” Judd Apatow), his interviewers would steer the conversation toward the 39-year-old actor’s hospitalization last summer following an apparent suicide attempt. (The actor has yet to address the incident in the mainstream media.)

So rather than put Wilson together with television or print reporters, Paramount had the actor record “Drillbit”-themed introductions to Fox’s Sunday-night prime-time lineup, with Wilson appearing in front of ” The Simpsons,” “King of the Hill,” “Family Guy” and “Unhitched.” Paramount said Wilson has done all that the studio has asked of him, and his publicist said the actor’s availability was affected by “Marley & Me,” an upcoming movie Wilson is currently shooting in Florida.

In some ways, the film doesn’t really need Wilson’s publicity help. Although the actor has a following among older, well-read filmgoers (his credits include “Meet the Parents,” “The Royal Tenenbaums” and “Wedding Crashers”), “Drillbit Taylor” is aimed at pre-pubescent boys, many of whom aren’t setting their TiVos for “Late Show With David Letterman” and are not reading this or other newspapers. The interviews Wilson didn’t give, in other words, weren’t really missed.

But that hasn’t always been the case with Wilson or other actors who for personal reasons either weren’t able to publicize their films or faced uncomfortable inquiries when they fielded journalists’ questions.

Fox Searchlight was on the verge of releasing Wilson’s “The Darjeeling Limited” last fall when he was hospitalized. (In an unfortunate coincidence, Wilson’s character in the film had attempted suicide.) Within a few days, he had withdrawn from the DreamWorks film “Tropic Thunder” and was later replaced by Matthew McConaughey. Fox Searchlight initially considered postponing the opening of “Darjeeling Limited,” but felt the actor’s struggles would still be a topic of media conversation.

At the time, Wilson’s publicist issued a statement for the actor: “I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.”

Wilson, who appeared opposite Jason Schwartzman and Adrien Brody in the film, subsequently showed up for “The Darjeeling Limited’s” Los Angeles premiere, but he did not appear at its screenings at the New York Film Festival or the Venice Film Festival. When Wilson, who studio executives say has never been eager to do publicity, could not attend the film’s press junket, Searchlight canceled the media event, worried it would spend some $250,000 to have Schwartzman and Brody do little more than field queries about their costar.

During the late summer press tour for “The Darjeeling Limited,” Wilson’s condition was addressed sparingly. “I can tell you he has been doing very well; he has been making us laugh,” the film’s director and co-writer, Wes Anderson, said at a Venice, Italy, news conference about the film. “When he is ready, he’s going to speak for himself much better than any of us could.”

Unlike Paramount’s extensive marketing effort for “Drillbit,” Fox Searchlight depends on publicity to boost most of its theatrical release campaigns. With little free media (and good but not gushing reviews) for “The Darjeeling Limited,” the film came and went quickly, grossing just $11.9 million domestically and slightly more overseas.

Disney chose a different strategy with December 2006’s Mel Gibson movie “Apocalypto,” whose release came on the heels of the actor-filmmaker’s notorious anti-Semitic arrest rant. While some people inside Disney wanted to keep Gibson out of sight, others felt he had to go out and promote the movie — which, after all, wasn’t in English (it was in Yucatec, a Mayan dialect) and whose biggest star was Rudy Youngblood. Although Gibson and CNN’s Anderson Cooper famously didn’t quite hit it off, the filmmaker was able to talk about his movie more than might have been expected.

The studio went in another direction nearly a decade earlier. In 1998, Disney was releasing Eddie Murphy’s “Holy Man,” more than a year after the actor was stopped by police in West Hollywood in May 1997 with a known transsexual prostitute in his Toyota Land Cruiser. (Murphy’s publicist claimed his client was just acting as a “good Samaritan” by giving her a lift.) Marketing executives steered reporters away from Murphy, who rarely likes to do interviews anyway, and toward his costars, Jeff Goldblum and Kelly Preston.

The film ultimately flopped.

Just two weeks before the June 1995 release of 20th Century Fox’s romantic comedy “Nine Months,” Hugh Grant was arrested for lewd conduct with prostitute Divine Brown. Rather than hide, Grant tackled the incident head-on. The next morning, he issued a statement admitting he’d done something “completely insane.” Two weeks later, the night before the film’s premiere, he took to the talk show circuit as planned, hitting Jay Leno, Larry King, Letterman, “Today” and even “Live With Regis and Kathie Lee.”

It must have worked: “Nine Months” grossed nearly $70 million.
