Ouch!
Jessica Simpson’s beau, Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo, has broken a pinkie finger.
Citing an anonymous team source, ESPN reported that Romo suffered the injury during Sunday’s 30-24 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The NFL Network said Romo is currently being examined by team doctors. A Cowboys rep has yet to comment.
Meanwhile, Simpson is shooting down more rumors that they two are engaged.
“Tony and I have not gone to Neiman Marcus — somebody said we bought a ring there,” she tells Entertainment Tonight. “I couldn’t drag Tony in to Neiman Marcus if I tried.”
Though they are not engaged, she said, “We are doing great. I’m wearing my No. 9 jersey proud.”

LL Cool J and Jessica Simpson make unlikely competitors, but the rapper is said to be furious that Simpson’s album, “Do You Know” outsold his own the week both debuted.
According to Nielsen Soundscan, Simpson’s first country album topped the country chart and came in No. 4 overall in the rankings by moving 65,000 units. LL’s “Exit 13” came in at No. 9 with sales of 44,000.
“LL is furious,” says a source close to his label, Def Jam. “He was so angry at one point that he was beaten by Jess that he actually threatened to quit rap.”
As it turns out, LL was likely just having a moment. A rep for LL says that “he has no plans to quit now,” and the he’s focusing on celebrating his “sixth consecutive top 10 album in his nearly 25 amazing years in music.”
He certainly seemed in good spirits Sept. 17 during the Hennessy Artistry Kick-off Event in L.A. One attendee passes on the observation that LL “brought girls onstage and threw money into the crowd.” Yes, real money.

Jessica Simpson was put in the hot seat on Thursday’s The View, answering a slew of “true” or “false” questions from Barbara Walters.
Moving in with Tony Romo?
“No comment,” Simpson said. “I gotta get used to saying that!”
Pregnant?
“They must have me confused with my sister!” she said. “I’m definitely not pregnant.”
Walters also asked if she has ever had to change her cell phone number and email address so ex boyfriends can’t contact her.
“True,” said Simpson, who has romanced John Mayer, Adam Levine and Jude Law, since ending her marriage to Nick Lachey.
his isn’t the first time she had dropped an interesting bit about an ex. (In September’s Elle, she vaguely mentioned, “I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run.”)
She says she is in a better place now, admitting that she isn’t afraid to speak publicly about her romance with Romo.
“I believe when you are in love, you might as well stand up on the mountaintop and say it,” she said on The View.
On the Late Show With David Letterman Thursday, she poked fun at critics who accused her of jinxing Romo’s career.
“I really think it’s because I was wearing a pink No. 9 jersey and not a blue one,” she said.
“If you had been in blue that wouldn’t be a problem?” asked Letterman.
“Well, so far I’ve been wearing blue, and they’re doing great,” she replied. “I’ll never wear a pink one again!”

Jessica Simpson has revealed her song “You’re My Sunday” was written about her boyfriend Tony Romo.
“He is a place of rest in my life and that’s what the song is about… It’s his favorite song on the record,” Simpson, 28, told Extra’s Tanika Ray on Tuesday.
Despite criticism she got for jinxing Romo’s career (”that was absolutely ridiculous,” Simpson has said), she plans on cheering him on again this season.
“I won’t be wearing the jersey to the game, but I have been there and definitely going to support the Cowboys all the way,” Simpson told Extra.
As for why she decided to make the transition from pop to country, Simpson explained, “Country was just something that’s in my bones. It’s in my blood. It’s in my voice. It’s in my heart and I just wanted to pack my stuff up and go to Nashville and write with some of my favorite songwriters.”
She continued, “I just think it’s important for people to know that I’m human…I’m a good person with a good heart and great intentions…I’m a good sister. I’m a good daughter. I’m a good girlfriend.”
Jessica Simpson tripped up a rocky performance on live television Tuesday, the day of her album release.
“Hold on, I know this is live TV but I can’t hear anything,” she said as she starting singing her quadruple platinum hit “With You” on Good Morning America.
The music stopped, the crowd in Times Square went silent and then she counted down for her musicians to start again.
When asked about her public image, Simpson told Extra, “It’s really disheartening in a way how the media can control somebody’s perspective on someone else’s life…It’s really sad how people want to believe the worst…I’m really not as important people make me out to be.”

Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen: the catfight between Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson continues, and someone’s about to draw blood!
Carrie’s claws have come out following Jessica’s recent interview, in which she gushes over current boyfriend (and Carrie’s ex) Tony Romo, saying, “I just told him today, ‘You’re the love of my life.’ ” In the interview Jessica also says she’s unconcerned by Carrie’s claims of getting calls from Tony, admitting that she checks his phone logs and knows exactly who he does and does not call.
While Tony, 28, may be pleased with Jessica and her declarations of love, his ex, Carrie, has quite a different point of view.
“She finds Jessica’s love of putting her life on display pretty desperate,” a pal of the “Before He Cheats” singer tells OK!. “She laughed at the People cover, because it’s the same one Jess did about John Mayer — same smile, same look, except she’s a little fatter.”
Now the blondes will take their battle to the country charts, but Carrie is unconcerned. “Carrie doesn’t think fans will spend money to watch Jess warble through a few badly written songs,” says her friend.

Happier personally and professionally than she’s been in a long time, Jessica Simpson tells PEOPLE that boyfriend Tony Romo is her “perfect guy.”
“I just told him today, ‘You’re the love of my life,’ ” she confesses in the latest cover story. “I don’t really ever say that to anybody.”
Simpson, 28 (as is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Romo), also co-wrote a song for her man, “You’re My Sunday,” which is featured on her new country album, Do You Know (out Sept. 9). And, in a true modern-day sign of devotion, changed her cell phone number and e-mail address to cut off any potential communication from her exes.
“I don’t want anybody that’s been in my life [before] in my life anymore,” she says. “I don’t even want them to have any way of contacting me.”
Romo hasn’t done the same, but Simpson brushes it off. “I’m not a jealous girlfriend,” she says – even though in a recent interview his ex, Carrie Underwood, claims she still hears from him.
As for her own onetime relationship with John Mayer – which began in 2006 and fizzled out last summer – Simpson survived its rockiness by doing some self-appraisal afterwards.
“I had to regain self-esteem and self-value,” she says.
When it comes to relationships, Simpson says she gives over her heart fully and expects the same in return: “I just love, so I don’t understand when people can’t do exactly what I do.”

Jessica Simpson took one more huge leap towards ending her career as a Hooters waitress. She is now selling beer for Stampede Light. And in doing so, she is fully clothed. Striking huh? I mean, being a beer girl should be simple for most hot chicks. Not for Jess though.
I work out and take care of myself. But I also like a cold beer once in a while. That’s why I made a smart choice with a smart beer. Stampede Light, it’s beer plus.

Jessica Simpson insists her beau Tony Romo isn’t calling his ex Carrie Underwood.
“I looked at his call log,” she said Wednesday in an interview with Nashville’s 107.5 FM’s Woody and Jim show.
Of Romo, Underwood tells September’s Allure: “The phone will ring and it’ll be him, and I’ll maybe not answer.”
“Tony and I both laughed at that,” Simpson said. “We got a chuckle out of it.”
She went on, “If Tony wanted to call her and be with her, he would.”
She also said she wasn’t dissing Underwood, a vegetarian, when she wore a shirt that read “Real Girls Eat Meat.”
Simpson and Romo seem to be going strong.
“Most of the guys I dated were captivated by my heart but they had different ways of trying to get to me,” Simpson says in September’s Elle. “Tony understands me.
“He appreciates my talent,” she adds. “He’s the first person I’ve spiritually connected with.”
Romo has been supporting Simpson while she works on her country album, Do You Know, due September 9.
“It’s the cutest thing,” she says.
Simpson dedicated the tune “You’re My Sunday” while performing at a country music festival in Wisconsin recently.
Before the song, she told the crowd Romo “is my better tomorrow.”

Headlining this what do you think kind of gives me some leeway here, because the impetus of the story is something Jessica Simpson said on a Nashville radio station this morning. As you know, I have instituted a ban on Jessica Simpson which is why you never heard me say “beer me” yesterday or asking the question, “how many beers does it take before you would sleep with Jessica Simpson?” Oh, and then for good measure I would have posted that crazy double vision ass photo that is making its way around the internet. You know, the one that gives you a headache the second you look at it. I’m not cruel enough to post it here, but I’m sure someone would be willing to post it in the comments.
Anyway, I got distracted. During this radio interview, Jessica Jealousy said that she knows for sure Carrie Underwood is not calling Tony Romo because she checks the call log on his phone. Setting aside the fact that he has two phones and that he could delete the calls after they talk, I want to know if you think this is right. I did not listen to the interview. I saw some quotes from it. The quotes make it appear as if she is doing this on the sly (not anymore) and being really sneaky.
I consider my phone to be the equivalent of a woman’s purse. If I hand it to you and ask you to look something up while I am driving or find some contact really quickly, then to me it is the same as you telling a guy to go get your purse or telling him there is a condom in the zipper. Whatever. If he goes into your purse for any other reason, or starts digging around, you are going to be pissed. You probably don’t have anything to hide, but it is your stuff and you honestly can’t remember everything that is in there. Same with the phone. Do you think as the significant other of someone you can just start scrolling through calls and contacts and reading all the text messages? What gives you that right? I probably don’t have anything to hide, but maybe someone sent me something they don’t want anyone else to see.
In my opinion, when you are in a relationship, you either trust someone or you don’t. If you don’t, then move on. Are you trying to catch your partner doing something wrong? Why are you trying to catch them? If you want to catch them so much, then move on. Because I guarantee you that if you are trying to catch them, that even if they are not doing anything, you are making their life miserable because you are probably the most jealous person on the planet.
I can honestly say that I feel uncomfortable even with the idea of looking at the contacts or call log of a phone which is not mine. Let me know what you think. Fair game to look at your partner’s phone and mail and e-mail and entire workings of their life, or, not so much?

Pop star-turned-country singer Jessica Simpson recently told Elle magazine that when she sang about abuse on her new track “Remember That,” she sang from personal experience. Now the National Enquirer reports Jessica’s personal story isn’t about an abusive boyfriend; it’s about bullying.
“I don’t want to talk about (what happened),” Jessica told Elle. “But I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run.”
Given that the lyrics from “Remember That” urge a woman to leave a man who hurts her “with his hands or with his words,” many assumed the eldest Simpson sister was referring to a similar scenario, but Jessica’s abuse allegedly came from teenage girls during her high-school years.
“Jessica was well-developed, and every guy in high school wanted her and practically every girl hated her,” a source told the Enquirer. “Jessica put on a brave face, but it was a campaign of terror that just devastated her.”

Jessica Simpson performed Thursday at the Indiana State Fair, appearing as a headlining act for the first time in three years.
It was a low-pressure setting at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand, where an estimated audience of 4,000 gathered. In 2004, Simpson attracted a crowd of 6,000 for a vapid pop show at Verizon Wireless Music Center.
Despite the skepticism over her move into country, Simpson said the genre is where her heart is and that she’s in it for the long haul.
“I grew up listening to country, so the transition has felt comfortable for me,” the Dallas-bred singer/actress told The Indianapolis Star in a recent interview. “The country community has made me feel so welcome.”
Simpson’s latest pop album, 2006’s “A Public Affair,” reached No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and scored a hit with the title track.
The 28-year-old performer has gone from gospel singer, to pop singer, to actress since launching her career in the late ’90s. She’s also keeping busy on the fashion/beauty front with a new perfume, “Fancy,” due this month and a line of “Jessica Simpson” brand dresses set to debut next spring.
