Shu Qi (born April 16, 1976) is the stage name of a Taiwanese actress born Lin Li-Hui. Her stage name is occasionally romanized as Hsu Chi or Shu Kei (Cantonese). Her name is sometimes seen in the Western order as Qi Shu.

Born to a financially challenged family in Sindian City, Taipei County, the young Shu Qi moved to Hong Kong at the age of 17 where she became a model for nude girls magazines and softcore movie shorts. She eventually came under the management of Hong Kong producer Manfred Wong, who signed her on to several softcore Hong Kong films such as Sex & Zen II.She starred in Derek Yee’s 1996 film, Viva Erotica, which was about the erotic film industry in Hong Kong, opposite the late Leslie Cheung and Karen Morris. At the Hong Kong Film Awards, she received the Best Supporting Actress award for the film. Since then, she has appeared in mainstream Hong Kong films such as Gorgeous (1998) opposite Jackie Chan, Stanley Kwan’s The Island Tales (1999) and Hou Hsiao-Hsien’s critically acclaimed Millennium Mambo (2000).

In 1999, Ang Lee approached Shu for the role of Jen in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Six weeks into filming, her manager, Manfred Wong, not foreseeing the film’s massive international success, pulled her out to do a soft drink commercial in Japan, and the part went instead to Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi.In 2002, she appeared in the Hollywood film The Transporter and the Asian action film So Close. In 2004, she played the main role in the Hong Kong horror film The Eye 2.

In 2005 she won the Best Actress Award at the 2005 Golden Horse Awards for her three roles in Hou Hsiao-Hsien’s Three Times.In 2008 she was member of the jury of the Berlinale, the Berlin International Film Festival.

Lucy Clarkson (born July 6, 1982, Rotherham, South Yorkshire) is an English model. Leeann Velez Tweeden (born June 13, 1973) is an American model and television personality of Spanish, Filipino and Norwegian descent.

Tweeden was born in Manassas, Virginia. She graduated from Osbourn Park High School in 1991. Tweeden eschewed college altogether and instead pursued a career in modeling. Just two years after leaving her Virginia high school, while working as a hostess at a Hooters restaurant in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she won first place in the Venus International Model Search in 1992. This break led to national exposure. Catherine Ann “Kate” Bosworth (born January 2, 1983) is an American actress. Snow was born and grew up in Tampa Bay, Florida. She is the daughter of: Cynthia, who works for Prentice Hall; and John Snow Senior, who ran an insurance agency until retiring to organize Snow’s schedule. Brittany has one half-brother, John Jr., and a half-sister; both of them live in Ohio. Britney Spears has more important things to worry about than court dates.

While Spears’ criminal attorney was in court in Van Nuys, Calif., asking for another extension in the pop star’s pending criminal case regarding her driving-without-a-valid-license charge, Spears herself was on a Delta flight heading to Louisiana to be by sister Jamie Lynn’s side for the birth of her first child.

In an apparent cost-cutting effort, the “Gimme More” singer, who typically jets around on private planes, flew commercial. She quietly slipped out of her gated community around 5 a.m. and headed with her dad, Jamie, and brother, Bryan, to Los Angeles International Airport, where they boarded a Delta flight to New Orleans, an hour ride from the Spears homestead in Kentwood.

Her flight landed at 12:53 p.m. CT, and Britney headed straight to mother Lynne’s house.

Jamie Lynn, 17, is having a child (reportedly a girl) with fiancé Casey Aldridge, 19, and is set to give birth any day now, sources tell E! News.

Britney, 26, had previously been somewhat estranged from her little sister. But on May 3, she flew to Kentwood to attend Jamie Lynn’s baby shower.

Because her visitations with her own children are still limited, Britney will miss visits with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Spears is expected to return to Los Angeles on Monday.

Spears’ next court date for her August 2007 hit-and-run accident, which occurred in front of the paparazzi’s every-ready cameras, is now scheduled for Aug. 11. Due to the fact that Spears is under the care of a conservatorship, Spears’ attorney Michael Flanagan, who has been working to try to get the charges dismissed entirely or reduced to an infraction, asked that the case be continued.

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl pulled herself out of the list of Emmy Award contenders as part of a protest about her character’s development on the medical drama.

The actress, who won the Best Supporting Actress prize at the Emmys last year insisted she be left off the official ballot because she felt her character was awful during the most recent season of the show.

Heigl tells website GoldDerby.com: “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and (so), in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organisation, I withdrew my name from contention.”

Brooke Lisa Burke (born September 8, 1971) is an American television personality and model, known for hosting Wild On! (1999-2002) and Rock Star (2005-2006).

Burke was born as the first of nine children in Hartford, Connecticut to Donna and George Burke, and was raised in Tucson, Arizona. Her mother is Jewish and she considers herself Jewish; she also has Irish, French and Portuguese ancestry. She studied broadcast journalism at UCLA, but initially pursued a modeling career.
