Winona Laura Horowitz (born October 29, 1971), better known under her professional name Winona Ryder, is a two-time Academy Award-nominated and Golden Globe-winning American actress.

Although Ryder made her screen debut in Lucas (1986), her first significant role came in 1988 with Beetlejuice as Lydia, a Goth teenager, in a performance that gained her critical and commercial recognition. After making various appearances in film and television, Ryder continued her career with the cult film Heathers (1989) in a prominent and critically acclaimed performance. Her subsequent roles have not only won her critical praise but numerous film awards. In 2000, Ryder received a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California.
Ryder is known for her relationship with actor Johnny Depp throughout the early 1990s. She also received noteworthy media attention for her participation in the investigation of the kidnapping and murder of Polly Klaas in 1993, who was from Ryder’s hometown. Sharon Stone sails on the French Riviera, and manages to create some Hollywood style drama all in a single afternoon while on board fashion designer Roberto Cavalli’s yacht in Cannes.

The racy actress, clearly hasn’t forgotten how to cause a stir, as despite her advancing years she pitched up braless, in a sheer white and grey slip of a dress, which concealed very little of her modesty.

Sharon, 50, dressed to impress to attend a soiree on the designer’s yacht, during the 61st Cannes Film Festival, but it seems like the ageing actress still can’t let go of her naughty ways.

After arriving on a small motor boat - on which she revealed rather too much of her outfit, flashing her underwear in a re-run of her infamous Basic Instinct pose.

Thankfully, on this occasion at least the actress’ dignity was saved by her nude coloured thong.

David Cook is American Idol 7!

Finishing off the seventh season of Fox’s reality hit, Missouri-native David Cook took home the title Wednesday night after beating out 17-year-old David Archuleta.

“I’m absolutely at a loss for words right now,” Cook said through tears. “This is amazing — thank you!”

Cook then performed ballad, “Time of My Life”

Over 97.5 million finale votes — an Idol record! — were cast to determine the winner. Ryan Seacrest announced that Cook won by 12 million votes.

Cook was fighting an uphill battle: after Tuesday night’s David vs. David three song showdown, Cowell declared Archuleta “a knock out.”

Hopefully, the third time will be the charm for Drew Barrymore — she and Justin Long are talking marriage.

On May 10, they were overheard making arrangements while eating a late lunch at Hugo’s in West Hollywood.

According to fellow diner Jose Sandoval, Justin was trying to persuade Drew to go ring shopping with him later that day: “The tables are close together, so it’s kind of hard not to overhear things,” Sandoval says. “She said she wanted to find a wedding planner and he said they should look at engagement rings that day. But Drew said, ‘You know what I like, surprise me.’ They seemed very happy.”

The duo has been inseparable since they started dating in August 2007, after meeting on the set of He’s Just Not That Into You. While Justin, 30, has never been married, Drew, 33, was briefly wed to bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994 and to comedian Tom Green from 2001 to 2002.

In March, Drew told Oprah, “This relationship is great; it’s healthy and… full of humor.” Hugo’s is one of Justin and Drew’s favorite restaurants. An insider tells In Touch that the couple eats there regularly. Drew and Justin were seen leaving Hugo’s on May 10: “They didn’t stop smiling.”

Without Smallville, we might never have known Erica Durance. Her brief appearances on shows like Tru Calling (2004) and Andromeda (2004) didn’t really grant her the exposure she needed. She may have exposed too much in House of the Dead (2003), but we didn’t mind watching, and just maybe that had a little bit to do with her being offered the part of Lois Lane in Smallville. All in all, Erica’s fame and fortune have yet to be revealed, but she’s one to keep an eye on for the future.

Erica has made more appearances in photos on the Web than she has in television and film. For those who were unlucky enough to watch House of the Dead (2003), the one payoff of the whole film was being able to see Erica Durance go skinny-dipping. Granted, she only went topless in the scene, but her form was slender and everything seemed to be quite real in the breast department. She has a slinky walk that matches her long locks, and is a true vixen with her full lips and wide eyes.
