BROOKE SHIELDS has trained her eldest daughter to deal with the paparazzi photographers who hound the actress and her family.

Shields shares two daughters - Rowan Frances, five, and Grier Hammond, two - with her TV-writer husband Chris Henchy, and she reveals the constant press attention she gets when out with her girls has prompted her to teach Rowan how to react.

The actress says, “(Rowan) will say, `Mom, paparazzi.’ It’s sad to me that she even knows the word. But then I said, `What do you do about that?’ and she said, ‘Well, I look straight ahead and I don’t look them in the eye.’

“So there’s the sense of don’t let them invade. They’re going to be there; let’s not let them ruin our day or our life. And I think that’s a slightly healthier way of dealing with it.”

While stars and people who think they are stars are starting their own clothing lines or selling perfume, selling towels is probably not something they were really hoping they would be asked to do. I mean its towels. Brooke Shields was recently asked to sell some towels and she agreed. I guess it was a pretty big check. I can just see the conversation with her agent and managers.She probably went on and on about how she was a model and knows fashion and that companies should be asking her to have her own line of clothes. I mean everyone is doing it. So, after a million phone calls and no one biting, they come back to her with the news that she is going to be something truly special. That she is going to do what no other star is doing and they being the best agents and managers in the world got her this gig. By now she is jumping up and down when they tell her with big smiles they got her a deal selling towels.

Can you just see her face drop? It must have happened. Towels? I mean who is going to buy towels because Brooke Shields told them to go out and get them? They then told her about the really big check and the smile got bigger again.

So, now Brooke Shields is the face of Royal Velvet luxury towels and well the world will never be the same again. I mean this is right up there with walking in space.

“At this point in my career, I only do projects I believe in. Royal Velvet made sense for me and my family because it felt authentic and it is a classic brand with amazing products.”

BROOKE Shields is laying off the high heels while “Lipstick Jungle” is on hiatus. Shields’ new footwear will be a cast. A pal told us, “She is having surgery on her foot.” A rep for Shields said, “Yes, she is having surgery on a tendon. It’s from an old injury she got from dancing on Broadway. It’s the second surgery she’s had on it.” Shields, who’s been working since she was a toddler, reinjured the foot while performing in “Chicago.”

The working mom recently admitted she was ready for a boy.

“I want a boy! I’m going to have to convince him [Chris] and he’s a hard sell at this point. Maybe he likes the even number!”

I would love to see Brooke have another one, we’ll have to wait and see!

‘Horton Hears A Who’ is the new CG animated film from 20th Century Fox Animation. Horton the Elephant struggles to protect a microscopic community from his neighbors who refuse to believe it exists. Seems quite nice ! Trailer can be found here.

Television star Brooke Shields is ending her problems with her mother during a heartfelt telephone call. Teri Shields recently complained to a tabloid that the actress had shut her out of her and her grandchildren’s lives, accusing the star’s husband Chris Henchy of having a svengali-like influence over her. And after reading the article, Shields reached out to the 74-year-old to repair their fractured relationship. Teri says, “After Brooke read what I had to say in The National Enquirer, she called me to remind me to watch the second episode of her show. In a somewhat sarcastic tone, Brooke then said, ‘Thanks a lot for the things I’ve been reading about you and me.’ I responded by saying, ‘Well, you know it’s all true Brooke.’ “Then she dropped it, but she didn’t scream or yell at me or carry on. It’s her way of saying she wants to move on. I know she doesn’t want this bitterness to continue.”

Hollywood star Brooke Shields mom is launching attack on her television star daughter for denying her access to her grandchildren.Teri Shields is very disappointed Brooke is spending so much time working on her new TV show, Lipstick Jungle, and is really worried she is not spending enough time with her family. And Shields is furious she is being kept away from her two granddaughters, Frances, four, and Grier Hammond, 22 months, from Brooke’s second marriage to television writer Chris Henchy. She tells The National Enquirer, “I don’t see Brooke or my granddaughters much, and if they do come over, it’s only for a little while and then they’re gone.”I wish I could see Brooke, but all she does is work. But (she) always makes time to visit her friends no matter how busy she is.” Shields is also unhappy with her son-in-law Henchy, insisting he has an unhealthy influence over her daughter. She adds, “I’m often disappointed in (Brooke), like the times she snaps: ‘What do you ever do for me?’ That’s what her husband tells her to say. I preferred Brooke’s first husband, Andre Agassi, over Chris.” Brooke Shields was married to professional tennis player Agassi for two years before their marriage was annulled in 1999. She went on to wed Henchy in 2001.

I don’t do enough Brooke Shields gossip because, well frankly, no one really cares that much about her. Oh sure, she has a television show and people of a certain age will always have a fond place for her in their hearts because she was their fantasy or something when they were hitting puberty. But, think of people who were born in the past 20 years, what do they know her for? Two mediocre television shows, one of which she was the presumed star but gone outshone by everyone, the death of a friend in a Vegas hotel room, and her feud with Tom Cruise.

To jump start the gossip on Brooke, all you have to do is bring in her mother. Teri Shields is the woman of course who thought it was a wonderful idea that Brooke played a teenage hooker and to get as naked as possible prior to the age of 18 without crossing into child porn.

Now, Teri is old and mean, while previously she was just mean, and so now she is letting Brooke have it right between the pages of the Enquirer. Teri does the usual whining about not being able to see the grandkids or Brooke, but what that really means is that Brooke isn’t coming over enough and slipping her a few bucks.

What I like though is that she thinks Chris Henchy, who Brooke married in 2001 exerts an unhealthy influence over Brooke. That is like calling the kettle black. It takes one to know one I guess. So, what does a mother in law do when she wants to say something nasty. “I preferred her first husband over Chris.”

Well the quote kind of loses its impact when you realize she remembers Chris’ name but forgets Andre Agassi’s name. And I think the technically Brooke is on her first marriage because she and Andre had their marriage annulled even though they had been married forever. Therefore there is no first husband, but we get Teri’s point.

I’m actually surprised that anyone from the Enquirer even knew who she was, or took her call. Maybe they did thinking she had something good to say and then they realized she was just whining because no one gives her attention. So, The Enquirer throws a little something together so the next time when Brooke is off cheating with some guy somewhere, Mom will come spill the beans.
