Though Romo initially refused to join his pop star girlfriend onstage, he reluctantly gave in when fans started chanting out his name

Jessica Simpson may be returning to the small screen.

She is in talks with CMT to star in a special chronicling her life as she records her upcoming country album.

“We have had exploratory talks with Jessica’s camp, but nothing has been confirmed or signed,” a CMT rep tells Usmagazine.com.

Her rep tells Us it is “not for a reality show. Jessica is finishing her country album in Nashville. They’re in talks with CMT for a special timed to air when the album is released, but there’s no truth whatsoever to there being a reality show.”

Simpson, 27, rose to fame on her MTV reality series Newlyweds, which tracked her day-to-day married life with Nick Lachey.

In a recent interview, her father Joe hinted that a reality show may be in the works.

“With Newlyweds, she let everyone into her world,” her father Joe told Entertainment Weekly.

“Then she had to shut the world out. Now she can open it up again so people can see, here’s a girl struggling with self-esteem and finding her way. Country music is about storytelling, after all.”

Simpson has been dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, 27, for three months.

Jessica Simpson’s much-publicized foray into country music is coming together. The singer’s manager/father, Joe, tells EW.com that the singer is close to completing her first country album and that she is eyeing a possible unscripted CMT show, which would mark the singer’s second stab at reality TV. “With Newlyweds, she let everyone into her world,” says Joe. “Then she had to shut the world out. Now she can open it up again so people can see, here’s a girl struggling with self-esteem and finding her way. Country music is about storytelling, after all.” 

As for the album, Simpson has enlisted some of Nashville’s most respected names to lend a hand — and some credibility — to the project. Jessica duets with Dolly Parton on one track and is joined on another by Willie Nelson and Charley Pride. John Shanks, who’s worked with Sheryl Crow and Kelly Clarkson, and Brett James, a cowriter on Carrie Underwood’s single “Jesus Take the Wheel,” are producing. Simpson’s first single, which has yet to be selected, could be out as soon as April or May.

Jessica Simpson’s Boyfriend Tony Romo  was asked as to how he handled all the negative publicity that came his way, to which he replied

“I came to an understanding a little while back that no one is going to remember me in five or seven years anyway so let them talk and say what they want to say,” he tells FoxSports.com. “In seven years, I’m going to be off doing whatever and living normal so it’s like, ‘Work hard. Try to do things right in life and forget about the rest of the junk.’”

 ”I don’t read the stuff like everyone else does, so it doesn’t affect me. If I were to watch and read everything that is written and said, as a human being it would probably be difficult.”

Well, being a star is not easy, more so ever if you are the girl friend or boyfriend of  a famous star.

Any Guesses???? as to what she must be carrying. Will her bag be really heavy. What is the fascination that she hold for such huge bags.

But they do look cool!!! dont they.

It must not be very hard for her boy friend to decide about what accessory he has to gift her.

Just buy her the biggest possible bag and she will be happy.

If you live in Hawaii, and you’ve noticed strange things afoot this past week.

Tony Romo brought Jessica Simpson (and her contagious foul luck) to spend the week infiltrating the island of Oahu. The two were in Honolulu to soak up the sun… and for Romo to play in the NFL Pro Bowl, of course.

So, Hawaiians, if your week has been wrought with unfortunate happenings, you can now breathe easy– They’re leaving.

We kid, we kid. It’s great to see all is still smooth sailing for the quarterback and his slim receiver. Jess deserves a change of pace, so, for her sake, let’s hope the country album she’s been working on will be enough to set her flailing career back on track.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo were back to the warm weather and beach wear this weekend, though the trip to Hawaii wasn’t just vacation good times for the happy couple. Tony was in town to play in the Pro Bowl yesterday afternoon — rough life, right? It looks like Jess was happy to accompany her man on the “business trip.” I gotta say that these two are totally growing on me. While in town for the game, Tony and his teammate Terrell Owens sat down to chat with a FOX sportswriter. Of course, Miss Simpson came up. Here’s what the boys had to say:

Marvez: Tony, how do you have to change your life now because of all the attention your relationship with Jessica is getting?

Owens: “I think he’s in way over his head.”

Romo: “(Smiling) Definitely not. I don’t read the stuff like everyone else does, so it doesn’t affect me.
