Tony Romo has reportedly introduced girlfriend Jessica Simpson to his folks.
It’s getting serious!
According to In Touch, Jess went down a storm with the Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s parents during the recent get together.
“The meeting went well, and she had a great time with them,” an insider tells the magazine.
“His parents seemed to really like her. She’s falling completely in love with him.”
Romo is already a big hit with the Simpson clan so the loved-up couple may beat Nick and Vanessa up the aisle after all.

JESSICA SIMPSON gave jailed actor LANE GARRISON something to smile about over Christmas (07) - she reportedly gifted the former PRISON BREAK star with a colour TV. Garrison, who is serving a 40-month prison sentence for a drink driving accident that cost a teenage passenger his life, was granted access to a TV in his cell for good behaviour, but didn’t have the funds to buy one. So Simpson, who grew up with Garrison, offered to buy her troubled friend the TV, according to In Touch Weekly magazine.

Jessica Simpson isn’t the box-office draw you’d expect a hot chick with a creamy stupid center to be. Her latest film Blonde Ambition was headed straight for DVD until the producers decided to show the film in Jessica’s home state of Texas. It not only bombed but set the stage for the rest of her film releases, according to Page Six:

The turkey took in just $1,322 on its opening weekend in eight Texas theaters. Jessica’s next picture, “Major Movie Star,” with Vivica A. Fox and Steve Guttenberg, is also heading straight to DVD.

I did the math on this one and it’s bad. Assuming movie tickets are $10, roughly 16 people saw this movie at each theater over a three day span. If this isn’t a giant sign that says “Jessica Simpson, it’s time for porn” then I don’t know what is. I mean, besides that billboard I built outside her bedroom window that says “Jessica Simpson, it’s time for porn.” Her dad was a big help though, so I can’t take all the credit.

After many blamed his girlfriend Jessica Simpson for his team’s loss last Sunday, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo overcame a sore thumb and taunting Carolina Panthers fans Saturday night and pulled out a victory.

The Cowboys’ 20-13 win came despite thousands of fans wearing Simpson masks (some even donned blonde wigs), and after a week of controversy following Romo’s under-performing game in Dallas attended by a pink-jersey-wearing Simpson. (According to ESPN, Simpson attended Saturday night’s game but was not seen on camera.)

In a post-game press conference, Romo discussed the Simpson drama.

“I just put tunnel vision on,” he explained. “There’s so many distractions about junk sometimes. I felt like the important thing for my team was to get myself into football mode 24/7.”

When asked if the media attention had bothered him, Romo said: “I let it roll off my back. It doesn’t really bother me. But it hurts me when it hurts the people that are close to you. Some of the journalistic integrity this week was poor in some ways.”

Last week, he completed a season-low 13 passes and threw three interceptions, the worst game of his career. On Saturday, Romo completed 28 passes and threw for 257 yards and just one interception.

Simpson’s professional performance so far this weekend has not been as impressive. Her latest movie, the romantic comedy Blonde Ambition, was released in just eight theatres and on its opening day
reportedly grossed just $384.

Blonde Ambition averaged $48 per screen on Friday for a total box office of $384. Based on an $8 ticket price, that means that 6 people paid to see the movie at each of those theaters, and only 48 people went to see the movie! That’s amazing! One of the worst performances a movie has ever had.

I am projecting that Jessica’s “star vehicle” will gross just $1,190 this weekend or $149 per location.
