Kelly Clarkson has seemed committed to shedding her good-girl image since she stepped off the “American Idol” stage, and the reporting surrounding her latest habits only serve to prove that.

According to a close source who spoke to Us Weekly, the Grammy-winning pop star enjoys walking around her home in the buff, no matter the circumstances. That would include not just when close friends are around, but even when her home is “filled with strangers for photo shoots or fittings,” reports the magazine.

Why? “I just really like being naked,” the “American Idol” star tells visitors with an apologetic shrug, according to the magazine.

The Emmys have added a new category to this year’s awards, host of a reality or reality-competition program according to TV Week.

“Reality television has become such an integral part of television and our culture,” said ATAS Chairman John Shaffner in a statement, “so it only made sense for us to create this new highly competitive category.”

Ryan Seacrest, Jeff Probst, Jerry Springer and Tom Beregon will all be duking it out for this award. But I think it will be Ryan Seacrest bringing home one of those little statuettes. Sorry Simon Cowell you are not eligible you have a to be “the host” not a Judge, participant or panelist. Better luck next time they add a new category!

Right now there are Broadway producers rejoicing over tonight’s theme Andrew Lloyd Webber on Fox’s American Idol at 8p. Since Frenchie Davis stepped on to the RENT stage, Broadway has become home to several American Idol contestants like Fantasia, Clay Aiken, Diana DeGarmo and Constantine Maroulis to name a few. But never in the show’s 7 year history has American Idol catered to show tunes. Well that all changes tonight when Andrew Lloyd Webber mentors the remaining 6! Why do I have the feeling we are going to get a lot of Cats and The Phantom of the Opera and not enough Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Evita???

David Cook would do well with something from Phantom because it is so dark. Syeshia will probably do Memories because she always chooses songs bigger than her. Jason Castro will probably do something from Jesus Christ Superstar because it is him. Carly and Brooke should do something for Joseph or Evita, but they will with either do songs from Cats or Phantom. And finally David Archuleta has to do something from Phantom because that is his calling…Michael Crawford 2!

American Idol meanie Simon Cowell is lashing out at the latest bunch of contestants on the hit television show and is insisting the are devoid of the “personality” needed to become superstars. The Idol Judge claims the wannabe singers battling it out in the show’s seventh series on the Fox network, are not taking enough risks with their comments or song choices. And the outspoken Brit has warned the contestants not to consider imitating their own idols, as they will be booted off the show for not offering original performances. He says, “They are giving very safe answers to questions, making safe song selections. We are not getting a sense of who they are. We have to try to pull it out of them more.” “You cannot deliver an uninspired performance at the top of the show. And you can’t be up there imitating another singer.”

She says, “I have a hectic schedule, and Vitaminwater really helps to keep me going. I like to have a lot of energy on stage, and since Vitaminwater energy happens to be my favorite flavor, I’m thrilled to have my name on it.”

A day after her American Idol ousting, Kristy Lee Cook announced she is getting hitched.

Cook, 24, said her 25-year-old beau, Andrew Dobner, first popped the question on March 17.

They kept the news “on the down-low” because “I just wanted to be focused on Idol,” the Oregon native told Usmagazine.com in a conference call Thursday.

He then proposed again last night on Idol.

“He actually got down on his knee this time,” she said. “He owed it to me!”

Cook said they’re planning to tie the knot “next June sometime.”

I don’t get why everyone is saying that Michael John’s elimination on American Idol last night is so shocking. He was forgettable and hasn’t done anything to stand out from the pack in a while, so what is so shocking? I guess the shocking thing is that it wasn’t the Tivo predicted Syesha or why is she still there Kristy Lee Cook. How is Kristy Lee Bore still there? And when it comes to S-yawn-a I wonder if she was really got the lowest votes, but because of the Tivo story the producers overturned it and eliminated Michael Johns instead???

To me the only shocking eliminations would be either David. I think David Archulette will win American Idol; and that David Cook will be the real shock elimination and not make it to the final 3.

So are you shocked that it was Michael Johns last night or are you like me and don’t care that he was eliminated?

In 2006, Paula Abdul appeared on “Love Smart,” a Dr. Phil special meant to help the “Idol” judge find true love. The show didn’t have immediate results, but in 2007 Abdul began quietly dating restaurateur JT Torregiani. Unfortunately for Abdul, it looks like that relationship might have run its course.

“He’s not serious about it and isn’t too invested,” an insider told In Touch Weekly. The source also said that Torregiani “talks to other women on the phone when Paula isn’t around.”

The “American Idol” judge, 45, also didn’t make an appearance at the opening of Beso — a restaurant that JT is a partial owner of — on March 6 where, an insider said, “he was flirting with a lot of women.”

Abdul’s no-show might not have had much to do with Torregiani, but it could have been the increasingly elaborate routine Abdul requires for appearances.

One makeup artist who very recently worked with Abdul said that it routinely takes as long as four hours before she’s satisfied with her hair and makeup. “Getting her out of the house is a major effort,” said the source. “How can it not get in the way of real life?”

Now we know what else Chris Daughtry is good at beside singing. His wife is one lucky woman!

Did you know Ryan Seacrest gave away his American Idol paycheck from this week to show he cares about charity? Yes, no one heard about it, so Ryan arranged for a “source” to leak it to People (who else) and the “source” even had an official sounding statement.

“When he and Simon went to Africa last year and saw the children, it was really life-altering for him,” says the source. “He just knew he had to do his part and be willing to put his money where his mouth is.”

Oh, and he also wanted you to know that he was doing it. Just couldn’t go quietly into that good night. Hey, and Ryan if you are so concerned about charity, why are you just giving one weekly check from your second lowest paying job? Give away something more and this time don’t let us know about it. Just do it for selfless reasons, and not for attention.

Oh, and get the whore to give away her Bentley while you are at it. She bought it with the money your production company is paying her, so why not tell her to sell it, and donate the money to a worthy cause. She can go out and get one of those Toyota Prius’ you are always yammering about on the radio. Or, honestly a little walking would do her good. Have you seen her ass lately?

The pop superstar will be releasing his eagerly-awaited album ‘On My Way Here’ on May 6 — his first collection of original songs since 2003. And since Clay fans are just “Aiken” to hear new music, satisfy your sweet tooth with the inspiring first single, written by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder.

David Cook quickly bounced back from his brief hospitalization due to high blood pressure and heart palpitations, but the American Idol finalist is coping with more than the weekly eliminations.

His older brother Adam Cook is battling cancer, sources confirm. David hasn’t spoken about it, the sources add, out of respect for his brother – and because he didn’t want to seek sympathy votes. But he has performed with an electric guitar emblazoned with his brother’s initials “A.C.”

Cook is not the first idol to compete while dealing with a personal crisis.

“The week before we came up for the Top 24, my best friend passed away, and I was just like, ‘I don’t know if I can go out there,’” last year’s champ Jordin Sparks tells PEOPLE. “I went to the funeral and came back and then my uncle passed away – and then my grandma … and so I had three deaths go on during the show.”

The blows tested Sparks physically as well as mentally, she said last week at a Hollywood PSA shoot for DoSomething.org and Staples School Supply Drive To Do Something for students who can’t afford school supplies.

“It’s hard because you have to go out there and put this smile on your face,” says the singer. “It’s very exhausting, and it’s very overwhelming and kind of gets to you. I mean I got sick a couple times, just because I was so tired and kept trying to do all this stuff and it was crazy.”

Still, if personal matters were to become very serious, it’s possible that Cook would be allowed time off from the competition to be with his family.

“It’s only ever happened once and that was in the U.K.,” Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe told reporters in a conference call. “We gave them a week out.”

American Idol contestant David Cook was hospitalized after Tuesday night’s live show when he felt heart palpitations, a source confirms.

Cook was treated for high blood pressure and released back to the Idol apartments where he was “doing fine,” the source says.

One of the top contenders, Cook once again wowed the judges and audience with a stylish version of Dolly Parton’s “Little Sparrow.” Sporting a new haircut, he appeared happy and healthy during his performance.

But afterwards, Cook was noticeably absent when contestants were led into the bleachers to sit with fans and watch a live performance of last year’s winner Jordin Sparks and R&B sensation Chris Brown sing their new single “No Air.” (The segment was taped for a later broadcast).

UPDATE:
TMZ has learned what probably triggered the medical emergency with David Cook tonight.

As we first reported, Cook was taken to the hospital after his heart began palpitating and his blood pressure rose. We’re told Cook, who has high blood pressure to begin with, has been under tremendous stress because his brother has been ill. We’re told David’s brother, who has cancer, suffered a setback within the last week, and it has really put David on the ropes.

David has been completely stressed out during the entire season. During one of the first shows, David broke down and said he couldn’t perform that night — and changed his mind at the last minute.

We’re told earlier tonight, David began complaining that he did not feel well. After the performance, Cook reassured people he was OK — but ultimately realized he needed medical help.
