The 30-year-old member of the super-rich Johnson & Johnson family died from untreated diabetes in January.

Her father, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, has asked the court to appoint him special administrator of his daughter’s estate, TMZ.com reported.

He said in the application that “it is necessary for him to take possession of all of the assets … as quickly as possible to preserve her estate from damage, waste, injury and publicity.”

Johnson’s mom, Sale Johnson, said in legal papers she has custody of Casey’s daughter, Ava, and is trying to adopt her or become her legal guardian, the gossip Web site reported.

Corey Haim’s agent has cast doubt on reports the former child star died of an accidental overdose, insisting the actor was winning his battle with drugs.

The 38-year-old Lost Boys star was pronounced dead at a Burbank, California hospital on Wednesday morning after his mother found the actor unresponsive at her home in Los Angeles.

But Mark Heaslip, who spent the last year and a half working with Haim, isn’t convinced by reports alleging drugs killed the star.

Heaslip tells People.com, “I really don’t think it was an overdose. He was doing really well. He did struggle with substance abuse, but I’ve repped him for a year-and-a-half and part of my agreement with him was that he had to be clean. That was the number one priority.”

Heaslip reveals Haim had been in bed with a fever in the hours before his death.

He recalls, “(His temperature) was 99 degrees and it jumped up to 101. We had his doctor come over and take his temperature. She said he actually looked very good.

“(At one point) he woke up his mom and said, ‘Mom, can you please come and lie next to me, I’m not feeling very good.’ He woke up again (later) and said he was having problems breathing. But it wasn’t very severe problems breathing. She thought he was sick.”

The ‘Twilight’ heartthrob’s teen years were made tough because the people he studied with tormented him over his thespian ambitions, but he admits his attitude may have contributed to his unpopularity.

Pattinson – who was a pupil at The Harrodian School in west London – said: “I got beaten up by a lot of people when I was younger. I was a bit of an idiot, but I always thought the assaults were unprovoked. It was after I first started acting and I liked to behave like an actor, or how I thought an actor was supposed to be, and that apparently provoked a lot of people into hitting me.”

Although the 23-year-old star avoided violence at school, he enjoyed getting physical for his role in new movie ‘Remember Me’, in which he plays Tyler Hawkins a rebellious young man living in New York city and trying to cope with the suicide of his brother.

He added in an interview with Parade.com: “I related to Tyler in that I wish I could have done things like he did when I had the opportunity. There is something quite satisfying about being a little bit more reckless and even fighting. It’s quite cathartic to just sort of randomly start hitting someone. It was fun kind of, letting all your rage go on the set. We had this big scene where I punch out some guys.”

Howard Stern dislikes Jay Leno and he’s not afraid to say it.

And perhaps, CBS’ “The Early Show,” seeing potential ratings in Stern just doing that, gave the outspoken radio host upwards of four minutes Tuesday morning to slam the “Tonight Show” boss.

“Just the mere mention of Jay Leno’s name makes me to want to vomit,” Stern told “Early Show” anchor Harry Smith — who, not surprisingly, barely got a word in.

“I don’t like this guy,” Stern said. “I don’t disguise it.”

Stern was on to weigh in on the late-night wars, which got underway again Monday night when Leno returned to host “Tonight.”

Leno left the show last June as part of a five-year NBC plan to replace him with Conan O’Brien on “Tonight.” Leno left reluctantly, and announced he would do a comedy show weeknights at 10 p.m.

O’Brien’s version of “Tonight” struggled in the Nielsen department, followed by Leno failing in the 10 p.m. slot. In January, NBC officials decided to move Leno back to late night with a half-hour show at 11:35 p.m., followed by O’Brien at 12:05 a.m. with “Tonight.”

O’Brien balked at the move, saying he didn’t want to be part of the destruction of the “Tonight” franchise. He then negotiated a settlement for himself and his staff worth $45 million.

“Jay Leno seems to be the kind of showbiz animal that won’t let go,” Stern said, suggesting Leno should have initially walked away when NBC decided to replace him. “Jay is a lap dog.”

Smith did say that television was a business, and Leno was able to generate ratings and revenue for NBC.

Leno typically does not respond to remarks like Stern’s.

But a source close to Jay says, “it’s just Howard trying to stay relevant, especially at new contract time.

“It is ironic, however, that Howard goes off like this about Jay, but at the same time he and his producer continually try to book Jay as a guest on the show.’”

While most stars were loading up on swag from the Oscar gifting suites, Sarah Palin left one of them with less than when she arrived.

The former vice-presidential candidate made a $1,700 donation to the Red Cross for Haiti and Chile at a swag suite at LA’s Interior Illusion store Wednesday.

A spy said, “She picked up a ton of gifts, but she gave the lot to the Red Cross, along with a cash donation. The only thing she took for herself was a bottle of Ty Ku sake.” Palin attended an “American Idol” show and appeared on Jay Leno’s “Tonight” before heading back east to pitch a reality-TV show.

Professional wrestler David Otunga is keen for the singer to show off her vocal talents at their forthcoming nuptials along with contestants from ‘American Idol’, the show on which Jennifer first found fame.

He said: “It would be great if any of the former American Idols sang at the wedding. And it would be wonderful to have Jennifer sing – I’d love that. But I won’t be because I don’t sing!”

The couple – who met at Jennifer’s 27th birthday party in 2008 – have a six-month-old son David Jr. and they are keen for the tot to play a big part on their special day.

David said: “I want my son and I to wear matching custom tuxedos!”

A date has already been set for the nuptials and the couple are busy finalising plans.

He revealed to Life and Style magazine: “We’ve picked a date. And Jennifer has chosen her dress, but she won’t tell me much about that, obviously.

“We know who we want to design the rings – Neil Lane, he made our engagement rings. And he’s a personal friend as well.”

Grappler David – who is one of eight professional wrestlers appearing on the World Wrestling Entertainment’s new reality show ‘WWE NXT’ – recently said he wanted tie the knot in a wrestling ring.

When asked whether the WWE could convince the couple to get married in the squared circle, David joked: “We could do that. I don’t know if Jennifer would go for it, but I’d be up for it.”

The Cuban-born sugar baron — one of the world’s richest men — and his wife, Emilia, were robbed by a man posing as a hotel worker Friday night.

A source told us, “They were riding up in the elevator when a man in a blue uniform with ‘hotel’ written on his shirt started to talk Spanish to Pepe.

They both got off on the same floor, and Pepe and his wife went into their suite. They then heard a knock on the door. It was the man in the elevator, who said, ‘I am here to fix your air conditioner.’ They let him in, and he took valuables including Emilia’s jewels — thought to be worth millions — and fled.”

The Palm Beach-based couple, in town for Oscar celebrations, were unhurt but shaken up. Hotel security is believed to have ID’d the perp from videotape but no arrests have been made. Fanjul confirmed to us, “We were victims of a robbery at the hotel. He took my wife’s jewelry that was both valuable and sentimental. We are OK and have reported the incident to the police.” The LAPD said they didn’t yet have details and a Four Seasons rep didn’t comment.

Ice Cube is planning to reunite with Dr Dre on his new album, ‘I Am The West’.

The rapper said he wants to work with the producer – whom he appeared alongside in groundbreaking rap group NWA in the 90s – on his comeback album, which is due out this summer.

He wrote on his blog: “I wanna answer a few questions you have for ya’ boy – Beats by Dre? Not yet. Haven’t asked him, but I will. Any collabos? Not yet.”

Ice, who is also become an actor, appearing in films including ‘Friday’ and ‘Three Kings’, also said ‘I Am The West’ – a reference to his roots on the West Coast – will have a political slant to it.

He added: “I would give you guys the concept but I’mma save that and let you see it for yourself. Now I know it seems like my record is West Coast crazy- Yeah it is. But I got a lot of real s**t to say on this record just like I always do. So my political fans won’t be disappointed.

“But sometime the Big Dog gotta p**s on a few treesto let these puppies know what it is. They can’t f**k wit me lyrically or physically. They all talks s**t from a distance cause they know, I may do comedies but I aint no joke (sic).”

The rapper – real name O’Shea Jackson- also said the first single from the album, his first since 2008’s ‘Raw Footage’, will be called ‘I Rep That West’.

Ice Cube left NWA in 1990 after falling out with the group’s manager, Jerry Heller, over royalty issues.
