Billy Baldwin will play Blake Lively’s troublesome father in “Gossip Girl” this spring

Sources said that Baldwin will appear as Dr. William van der Woodson, the absent father of Lively’s character, Serena.
An insider said, “His arrival will have a huge impact on Serena and on her mother, played by Kelly Rutherford.” Fans of the CW teen drama have already seen Lively’s character try a series of stunts to get her father’s attention.
