Stars are lining up to pose in PETA’s striking “Save the Seals” T-shirt for a brand-new ad series aimed at ending the slaughter. In addition to Hilton and Osbourne, the celebs sporting the tee in the first installment of print ads launching this week are CSI’s Jorja Fox, hunks Brody Jenner of The Hills and Owain Yeoman of The Mentalist; Twilight star Christian Serratos; Jackass star Steve-O; Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer and Grace Park; playmates Holly Madison and Jayde Nicole; 90210 alum Jennie Garth; indie rockers Animal Collective; The Office star Lucy Davis; actor Rachael Leigh Cook; Natalie Dreyfuss of Rita Rocks; boxer “Sugar” Shane Mosley; pro cyclist Levi Leipheimer; and U.S. Olympic Team snowboarder Hannah Teter. This summer, Sarah McLachlan previewed the PETA tee at the Canada Day concert, where the singer condemned the slaughter.

Says Osbourne, “The saddest thing for me is just knowing baby seals, some of [whom] have not even had their first meal, are going to be killed, and most of them are probably still alive when they’re skinning them. And there are no laws, nothing to stop them, so it’s just going to get worse.”
During the annual massacre, sealers shoot these gentle animals or bash their heads in, and the baby seals are often skinned alive while their wailing mothers helplessly watch. The European Union and the U.S. have banned seal products, and world leaders—including Russia’s Vladimir Putin and President Barack Obama—have spoken out against the massacre.

In a filing last week, Deborah Rowe’s attorneys said the mother of Jackson’s two oldest children should be awarded $490,000 in general and punitive damages.
Rowe sued Rebecca White in July for White’s comments to the television show “Extra.” White hasn’t responded to the lawsuit and Rowe is seeking a default judgment against the Key West, Fla. resident.
Rowe’s defamation and invasion-of-privacy lawsuit sought to recoup any money that White may have been paid for the interview, which aired in July. Rowe’s attorneys estimated those earnings at $100,000 on a court filing.
They are also seeking $100,000 for emotional distress, $45,000 for medical and attorney’s fees and $245,000 in punitive damages.
A hearing on Rowe’s petition to issue a default judgment against White is scheduled for November.
Rowe has some visitation rights with the two children under an August agreement with the singer’s mother. No money is believed to have changed hands in the arrangement.
Stories aired by “Extra” were based on White’s description of e-mails she said were exchanged with Rowe after Jackson’s June 25 death. Rowe, 50, denies she sent any recent e-mails to White.
White was described in the segments as a “close friend” who said Rowe had emphatically stated in an e-mail exchange that she didn’t want custody of Jackson’s children. Rowe’s attorneys have denied that White and Rowe are friends.

Earlier today, Lohan was ordered to appear in court for a progress report in her two DUI cases from 2007.

Revel told Lohan, “I ordered you into court today because I wanted to speak to you directly. I don’t want to get any more notices again [that you might be in violation of probation], no warrants … where you’re thumbing your nose at the court.” He then ordered the actress to get prior court approval before leaving Los Angeles for work and warned her that any failure to comply with the terms of her probation could lead to jail time. “I’m rooting for you to successfully complete probation,” he added. Lohan’s only words in court were “yes” when asked if she understood all the proceedings. Her next progress review hearing is Dec. 15.

Rihanna is exposing her fans to more than her music with her new single, “Russian Roulette.”
The singer is featured nearly topless on artwork for the song, covered only by what looks to be barbed wire.
The photo fits the apparent theme for her new album, “Rated R,” which is due out Nov. 23. It will be her first CD since 2007’s “Good Girl Gone Bad,” which went multiplatinum. It will also be her first solo single since she was attacked by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

However, Larry Birkhead acknowledged the celebrity model had an array of ailments, including back pain and seizures, and each required specific medication.
A defense lawyer led Birkhead on Friday through descriptions of the illnesses to suggest Smith was being properly medicated by her doctors.
“I was concerned that Anna was taking too many medications,” said Birkhead, a photographer who moved in with Smith in 2004 after a romance that began at a Kentucky Derby party.
He said he raised the drug issue during a visit to Dr. Sandeep Kapoor in mid-2005 about a minor ailment. Kapoor was Smith’s physician at the time.
“At the end of the visit, I said to him she might be taking medicine from someone else in addition to him,” Birkhead testified.
“What did Dr. Kapoor say?” prosecutor Renee Rose asked.
“He said, ‘I believe we have that under control now,’ and that’s all that he said,” Birkhead replied.
Kapoor, Howard K. Stern, Smith’s boyfriend-lawyer, and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich are charged with conspiring to illegally provide controlled substances to Smith. All three have pleaded not guilty.
The defendants are not charged with Smith’s death at a Florida hotel in February 2007, which was ruled an accidental overdose.
Birkhead took the stand at a preliminary hearing to determine if the defendants should stand trial. The hearing recessed until Monday with Birkhead still testifying.
During cross-examination by attorney Steve Sadow, who represents Stern, Birkhead provided a rundown of Smith’s physical problems that included back pain from having breast implants, swelling of her hands, restless leg syndrome and intense headaches including migraines.
She was once hospitalized for a dislocated shoulder after falling out of bed and was plagued by pain after that, Birkhead said, adding she also had a miscarriage before he met her.
“It seems I’m missing something,” he said as he recited her ailments. “There were so many of them.”
Birkhead said he witnessed 10 to 20 seizures by Smith, with one coming the night before she was to appear at the American Music Awards. She managed to do the show by taking two anti-seizure drugs and downing three high-energy drinks but consuming nothing else, he said.
Superior Court Judge Robert J. Perry asked to view again a video of that appearance to see if Birkhead thought she looked normal or was “loaded on something.”
Birkhead said she was nervous, but most of her behavior was typical of her high-energy public appearances.
Asked to describe his relationship with Stern, Birkhead replied: “Icy.”
“We clashed a lot. He would get into the personal relationship between Anna and me,” Birkhead said. “I don’t think he was happy that I was there.”
After Smith died, Birkhead waged a paternity battle with Stern, who claimed he had fathered the model’s daughter, Dannielynn. Birkhead won the dispute after producing DNA proof that he was the father. The little girl now lives with him.
He said he and Stern, who sat across the courtroom, now work well together on matters involving Smith’s estate. Stern is her executor.
Birkhead said he became aware Smith was taking multiple prescription drugs, including methadone and Valium, after moving into her home in Studio City. Some of the bottles had labels with fictitious names used by Smith, he said.
Birkhead testified that Kapoor’s name was on prescription bottles. The doctor also made house calls to Smith and rode in a limousine with Smith’s entourage at a gay pride parade in 2005.
Birkhead recalled one incident in which Smith stayed in a hospital for 10 days to detox from all the medication. He discovered she had a duffel bag of medicine, including methadone, that she was taking in the hospital.
Birkhead said he saw Stern give her the bag when she asked for it but didn’t see him administer any drugs.
He said Smith told him she could not abruptly discontinue the methadone without risk to her pregnancy. Birkhead said he did research and found she was right.
The judge asked Birkhead if he considered Smith to be “a pill popper.”
“I don’t think I would call her a pill popper,” he said. “But she took more medications than I’ve ever seen anyone take.”
“You never saw anyone force Anna to take medication?” asked the judge.
“I never saw that,” Birkhead replied.
Rose sought to show a video in court of Kapoor socializing with the ex-model at the gay pride parade and a party afterward. The video shows the doctor nuzzling and kissing Smith, Rose said.
Kapoor’s attorney Ellyn Garofalo objected to showing the video, saying it was irrelevant to the case.
After watching the video privately, Judge Perry agreed and it was not shown.
Garofalo previously told The Associated Press that Kapoor is openly gay and never had a sexual or social relationship with Smith beyond that one day.

Jon Gosselin has been raking in cash for interviews and appearances and TLC knows what he’s made and where he’s made it.
…the network wants all that money plus damages in a court battle that has the strong possibility of leaving Jon flat broke.
TLC already knows Jon has been paid for media appearances and every penny will come out in the lawsuit. The paydays are in violation of his contract with the network, which has a clearly defined exclusivity clause.
That contract is valid until February 2010, even though the show is no longer filming.
TLC has an option to renew Jon’s contract once it expires, thereby keeping him from doing projects on any other network.
Jon’s negative public comments also violate his contact and the network is seeking punitive damages against him and Jon will also be on the hook for TLC’s attorney’s fees if the network wins in court.
Jon also has a morals clause in his contract. His boozing and behavior could also be dragged into the lawsuit.
The only way TLC could have owned Jon any more with this lawsuit is if they served him with it by rolling it up and shoving it up his ass.

For the first time, former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson talks to Oprah. This is not the “Iron Mike” you think you know.
When you grow to prominence for fighting, become notorious as a convicted rapist, and infamous for biting a piece of a man’s ear off, you’re not expected to be someone aware of his emotions.
But that’s just one of many revelations Mike Tyson shared during yesterday’s appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
The former heavyweight champion of the world appeared on Oprah’s stage to discuss his much discussed documentary, Tyson.
In recalling the first time he fought in response to bullies, Tyson told Oprah, “A big penalty if they violated my feelings. Even to this day I’m overly protective of my feelings.”
His feelings poured out throughout the interview. We saw a very visibly choked up Tyson talked about his trainer and father figure, Cus D’amato.

Tyson was also distraught while discussing the loss of his four-year-old daughter, Exodus. Tyson said he didn’t want to know what led to her death for fear of how his anger would go to the person held responsible.
As the interview went on, Tyson discussed desire to make his opponents in the ring fear him. That’s in part to him admittedly harboring fear himself before every fight. He also acknowledged that he grew up with a huge inferiority complex – which spawned his own God complex.
