A sense of humor can be the best remedy:

“I laughed more in the hospital than I ever have in my life, making fun of all the weird things that were happening to me. My friends would walk in with this sad look, and I would throw something at them and say, ‘Come on! This isn’t the end of the world!’”

On meeting other cancer survivors:

“There’s a real kinship when we meet. We hold each other tight because we know where the other has been: to hell and back.”

On joining other breast cancer survivors at a “Stand Up to Cancer” benefit:

“Backstage, Jennifer Aniston said something like, ‘I don’t like having to see my three girlfriends up there, but I am so proud of you.’ That was nice.”

On her new breasts (after a reconstructive surgery following a double mastectomy):

“It’s really hard because they just aren’t the same—and I had really good ones. If you have boobs you don’t like, you can go and choose the size you want, and then get a brand-new present. But it’s different [when it’s not your choice]. But I hold on to the fact that I don’t have to wear a bra, which is great!”

Overeating during her recent trip to Italy :

“If I see another Caprese salad, I’m going to lose it! We kind of went balls out.”

Her boyfriend, Martyn Lenoble, was her rock through her battle with cancer:

“I don’t think I would have been able to get through any of it without him”

On recent engagement rumors:

“Can a girl please wear a ring on her left hand and not have it be all, ‘Is she engaged?’”

She focuses on today:

“I’ve never been one to pull the covers over my head. I have to push through things.”

Her newly adopted set of life rules:

“If you get too caught up in the outer, you forget about the inner.”

Christina’s inspiration to start her foundation, Right Action for Women:

“I became really passionate about people who are at high risk having the same opportunity to get this sort of testing. Some insurance companies consider the tests exploratory, which is just ridiculous. I mean, it saved my life!”

On meeting a woman touched by her cause:

“It was pretty heavy. She was crying and holding me and said, ‘Thank you for saving my life.’ When that happens, you can’t help but think ‘OK I’ve done the right thing.”

Lost in his memories, the 68-year-old actor visited the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ actress’s headstone after their son, Redmond, was ordered by a judge in Los Angeles to go into drug rehab for at least a year.

Redmond, 24, was in jail for Farrah’s final days and was only released for a few hours to attend her funeral after she died from cancer on June 25.

On Friday, he pleaded guilty to possessing heroin while on bail in April for another drug offence.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered him to spend at least a year in a residential drug treatment programme and suspended a six- year prison sentence.

Ryan O’Neal, had made a deathbed promise to Farrah to take care of their troubled son.

The couple had a tumultuous relationship, but remained close since their romance began in 1980.

The ‘Love Story’ actor said he asked Farrah to marry him as she fought a losing battle with anal cancer, but she became too weak to go ahead with the ceremony.

In interviews after Farrah’s death, O’Neal characterised himself as ‘a hopeless father’ and said he even tried to chat up his own daughter, actress Tatum O’Neal, at the funeral.

‘I had just put the casket in the hearse and I was watching it drive away when a beautiful blonde woman comes up and embraces me,’ he told Vanity Fair.

‘I said to her, ‘You have a drink on you? You have a car?’ She said, ‘Daddy, it’s me, Tatum!’

‘I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it’s my daughter. It’s so sick.’

The iconic actress was buried in a private service at Westwood Village Memorial Park in Los Angeles on June 30.

Her simple granite headstone has just her name spelled out in big letters across the front. She died in Los Angeles on the same day as Michael Jackson.

She documented her brave struggle with cancer in the film, ‘Farrah’s Story’ using footage shot by her best friend, Alana Hamilton, ex-wife of Rod Stewart.

The rocker “went nuts” when a guest at a party at the Standard Hotel opened an unlocked bathroom door and saw her on the toilet with her skirt around her ankles.

According to the astonished, unintentional intruder, Love flew out of the loo, launched herself at him and threatened to have him thrown out.

Sebastian Karnaby, a pharmacist, said he was trying to leave the party for the Times’ T style magazine at the hotel’s new Boom Boom the other night when he had the encounter with Love.

He said, “I couldn’t find my way out and asked someone to show me the door.” He opened the door he was led to, and “there was Courtney Love, sitting on the toilet with her skirt around her ankles.”

Karnaby says he was shocked and slammed the door shut, but that wasn’t enough for Love. He relates, “She stormed out screaming, ‘I am going to get you thrown out!’ She jumped on me, went crazy and dragged me over to security by the arm and claimed that I’d attacked her.

“They were trying to calm her down, but she was out of control. She was like a possessed woman.

“I absolutely did not attack her — I was trying to get away,” Karnaby said. “Thankfully, she’d remembered to pull up her skirt.”

He says security told him, “It’s best you get away as fast as possible.”

“I never wanted to see Courtney Love on the toilet,” he said. “It wasn’t a pretty sight. I just wanted to get out of there.”

Enjoying the party in a more civilized fashion were editor Stefano Tonchi, co-hosts Jeff Koons and Simon Doonan, Josh Hartnett, Helena Christensen, and photographer Terry Richardson.

Other guests at the party confirmed Karnaby’s story. Love’s rep refused to comment.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ five-year contract with Warner Music is up in April, and sources say he may jump labels. “Diddy was supposed to release his new album, ‘Last Train to Paris,’ with Atlantic Records [a division of Warner] in November,” said an insider. “But he’s holding off on releasing it until April.

If he doesn’t renegotiate his contract, he might end up releasing it on Interscope.” Diddy is friends with Interscope CEO Jimmy Iovine, and tongues are wagging about a possible partnership. Combs started Bad Boy Records as a joint venture with Warner Music in 1993, but one insider said, “Who knows what will happen with Bad Boy if Diddy leaves?” Combs’ spokeswoman said, “We are unable to comment at this time.”

Mackenzie Phillips will reveal tomorrow on Oprah that her father, Mamas and Papas founder John Phillips, raped her, Gossip Cop has learned. The interview coincides with the release of her memoir, “High on Arrival.” Already it’s been revealed in promos for tomorrow’s program that her father introduced the “One Day at a Time” star to drugs. She recalls, “My father shot me up for the first time.” She also discusses Mick Jagger’s attempt to seduce her and other long-held secrets.

But the most stunning revelation is that John had sex with a drugged-out 19-year-old Mackenzie as she faded in and out of consciousness on the eve of her wedding to Jeff Sessler in 1979. According to a leaked copy of the book, when she later confronted him about it, she said, “We have to talk about how you raped me,” to which he responded, “You mean when we made love?” The two had a long-term incestuous relationship, the memoir reveals.

“My father showed up, determined to stop [the wedding,]” Phillips writes. “I had tons of pills, and Dad had tons of everything too. Eventually I passed out on Dad’s bed.”

“He was full of love, and he was sick with drugs. I woke up that night from a blackout to find myself having sex with my own father,” she explains.

“Had this happened before? I didn’t know. All I can say is it was the first time I was aware of it. For a moment I was in my body, in that horrible truth, and then I slid back into a blackout,” Phillips adds.

The sexual relationship eventually became consensual. “One night Dad said, ‘We could just run away to a country where no one would look down on us. There are countries where this is an accepted practice. Maybe Fiji.’

“He was completely delusional. No, I thought, we’re going to hell for this.”

Sources confirm the date to E! News and claim that most guests (but apparently not some of his Los Angeles Lakers teammates) have already been notified over the phone, with formal invites expected to arrive later this week.
Of course, the 25-year-old E! starlet is keeping mum about the whole thing, telling us exclusively, “I can’t confirm or deny…”
Still, a source close to the 29-year-old hoopster tells E! News that the couple went ring shopping over the weekend in Los Angeles and that the lucky lady found a ring that Odom bought on the spot.
“She’s not wearing it yet because it is being resized,” says the source.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m looking forward to the honeymoon sex tape that “contractors found in a locked safe” leaking online next week along with the surprise birth of their first baby. (She hid it well. I guess.) No, really, it’s all right here in the memo from Khloe’s publicist titled “Sasquatch Wants to Feel Important Too: A 3-Week Plan.”
