Elle magazine says London police are investigating allegations that jewelry was stolen after an Elle fashion shoot featuring actress Lindsay Lohan.
London’s Metropolitan police confirmed that a necklace and earrings worth around $411,316 were missing from a studio in north London in early June.
A police spokesman said no arrests have been made in the case and would not comment on whether Lohan had been interviewed or was even related to the case in any way.
He spoke on condition of anonymity in line with police policy.
The fashion magazine said in a statement Tuesday it had no reason to believe that Lohan was in any way linked to the alleged theft.
Lohan’s spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.

Tsk, tsk. Someone needs to tell John Mayer not to drink and Tweet! The crooner went Twitter-happy on Saturday night when, after a night of partying, his pal Rob Dyrdek was carried out of the L.A. nightclub My House for being too intoxicated.
Mayer was on hand both to celebrate the success of his skater boy buddy’s new film “Street Dreams” and later in the evening to bring him to a hospital where he had his stomach pumped. After escorting Dyrdek out of the hotspot, Mayer Tweeted from Cedars Sinai Medical Center: “In triage at Cedars with @Robdyrdek. When the contents of his stomach hit that silicon bag and we all saw it, we just broke into applause.” Minutes later he added, “Applause. Sh*t! Applause.”
Luckily, the “Rob and Big” star was feeling better yesterday morning, and was even well enough to ? you guessed it ? Tweet about the incident. “A funny night out with @johncmayer,” he posted. “Glow stick Dancing leads to this . . .” with a link to the picture on TMZ.com.
When stomach pumping becomes socially acceptable fodder, it’s clear that Twitter has hit new lows. Perhaps “Rob and John” should be MTV’s next show, where the boys can Tweet their nights ? and sobriety ? away. But would anybody actually watch?

Chris Brown may be trying to make nice with Rihanna before the two appear in court, but she isn’t buying it.
When the two attended Game 4 of the NBA finals in Orlando on Thursday, Brown made no secret of wanting to chat to his ex. Although the two sat on opposite sides of the hoop next to the Magic’s rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers’ bench, the “No Air” singer couldn’t resist constantly sneaking glances at his former flame, who was subpoenaed just days ago to testify in court after being allegedly assaulted by Brown back in February.
At halftime, the two decamped to different lounges: Rihanna to the owners’ personal lounge, and Brown to the Blue Lounge along with Tiger Woods, Hulk Hogan and Ahmad Rashad.
Although Rihanna lingered as long as possible in relative hiding before the game resumed, her ex manfully made his way to her seats, and shook hands with all of her friends. “Chris was definitely trying to make the situation less awkward,” said one eyewitness. “He was trying to be very grownup, and wanted Rihanna to see that as well.”
However, Rihanna really couldn’t have cared less. She was at the game for a purpose, and that purpose was another guy.
A source tells us that the “Umbrella” warbler attended the game at the behest of Magic forward Rashard Lewis, whom she’s currently crushing on. Says a pal of the singer, “Rihanna is trying to get to know Rashard. She’s digging on him, and she hopes the feeling is mutual.”
Although reports claim that Rihanna was at the game to see her rumored lover ? Lakers center Andrew Bynum ? our insider denies that’s the case. “Ri and Andrew are just friends, and they have been for a while. It’s Rashard who she wants. She thinks he’s hotter than hot.”
At the end, Rihanna didn’t stick around to talk to any of the guys. She beat a hasty retreat as soon as the game ended.

In the July issue of Vogue, the actress said, “I’ve actually never been taken on a date in my whole life. I have never had a one-night stand. I’m a real relationship person — contrary to public perception . . . I get kind of emotionally involved very quickly, and I’m not going to spend time with someone unless I love them. But it’s not hard for me to fall in love.”

HARPER’S Bazaar’s latest personnel move is good publicity, but is it legal? The Daily reported that Bruce Willis’ daughter, Tallulah, recently started interning at the magazine and has even attending market appointments with the fashion team. But according to the US Deptartment of Labor, Willis’ age — she’s 15 — and the fact that she’s unpaid and not receiving school credit, means the magazine is technically in violation of federal labor law. A Harper’s rep told us, “Tallulah is a guest of Harper’s Bazaar, shadowing our editors for a couple of weeks.”

At first glance there was nothing remarkable about the tired-looking young mother pushing her sons through Hyde Park.
The buggies were low-budget, the children dressed in shorts and t-shirts and their mother dressed down in jeans and a long-sleeved top.
But on closer inspection the blonde hiding beneath her baseball cap was none other than pop star Britney Spears - taking a break from entertaining thousands on her busy Circus tour.
The 27-year-old was with her manager Jason Trawick - recently revealed to be her new boyfriend.
While Britney is in London she is staying at the opulent Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which backs onto Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.
Her sons are staying elsewhere, while her ex-husband Kevin Federline is also in London.
He agreed to come along on the tour so that Sean Preston, three, and Jayden James, two, were not separated from their mother for two long.
Britney was even said to be paying him $4,000 a week to travel with her so she could be near them.
This week lawyers for Britney and Federline reportedly filed documents with the U.S. family law Commissioner Scott Gordon, stating they have reached a new temporary custody arrangement.
U.S. gossip website TMZ reported that the family had agreed new custody arrangements for the tour.
Britney will have custody of her sons more than the 50per cent of the time for the rest of June, July and August.
The tour is a family affair for Britney - who is also accompanied by her sister Jamie-Lynn and father Jamie, who is managing her affairs.
Britney is coming to the end of her eight nights performing in London, and next will head to Manchester for one night and Dublin for two on the British leg of her Circus tour.
She will then head to France to continue her high-energy tour in Europe.

As the longtime lead singer of Poison, a band that came to be in the ’80s seemingly composed of equal parts attitude and hairspray, Bret Michaels has probably seen and experienced levels of sexual debauchery that none of us could even fathom. So it’s not surprising that the 46-year-old has soldiered through three seasons of the VH1 Rock of Love franchise sporting the same bemused attitude about the antics of the dipsomaniacal gaggle of chicks fighting over him as Mrs. Garrett had while minding her charges in The Facts of Life. And even though Michaels might have swapped some major spit with his ROL potential mates, all the truly dirty deeds culled from his life spent in and out of spandex can be found within the pages of his brand-new memoir, Bret Michaels: Roses & Thorns.
Here’s a small snippet of the interview:
ELLE: Do you recall the moment you realized you were a sexual being?
BRET MICHAELS: Vividly. I was digging through my father’s drawer, when I found a thicker magazine than usual: the Women of the Office edition of Playboy—you know, that whole hot, sexy miniskirt but she’s got the glasses on thing. I assumed this was what every girl who worked in an office looked like and did. I thought, No wonder my dad likes going to work.
