The ‘Mean Girls’ actress has been left devastated by her split from DJ Samantha Ronson and pals fears she is on the brink of a breakdown.

A source said: “Lindsay is on hiatus with her publicist because she’s not working or booking jobs. She is completely unmanageable.

“Lindsay needs to get psychiatric help. Her friends are really sad for her, but she’s out of control, and now she’s all alone.”

Lindsay, who says she is in “hell” without Samantha, is struggling to cope with the break-up and friends have blamed her mother Dina Lohan for not
offering the 22-year-old star enough support.

The source added: “Dina is begging Lindsay’s friends to go there and help her. All of Lindsay’s life, Dina never acted like a role model. She only
ever wanted to be her friend. Lindsay keeps getting used.”

Following their split last week, Samantha changed the locks on the Hollywood Hills home she shared with Lindsay and was even said to be seeking a
restraining order against her, although she has denied the claims.

Lindsay has insisted the year-long romance is not over, claiming the pair are just “on a break”.

The U2 frontman has started wearing thick black eye makeup under his coloured glasses because it makes him look like Elvis.

He said: “I thought I looked very sexy in eye make-up. It’s a new character I’m trying out. I was calling him Elvis’s dead brother, Jesse - which maybe
is in poor taste. It’s still in development! I started just messing with it a few weeks ago.”

The 48-year-old singer .has a knack for stealing the limelight from the band, but that doesn’t mean they listen to what he says.

Drummer Larry Mullen Jr. said: “People think we’ve all got beepers on, and it’s like, ‘Bono’s had a thought! Oh, f**k! Get out your beeper!’ ”

He claims the other members of U2 spend a lot of time talking Bono out of his hare-brained schemes.

Larry said: “I think if Bono had his way, we’d probably be recording and playing for Africa, that’s how he thinks. Just take everything and give it
all. It doesn’t work like that.

“We spend a lot of time trying to hold Bono back from doing the maddest things possible. I just don’t understand where he gets the energy.”

Stub it out, Christina!

Breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate was snapped puffing on a cigarette as she strolled down a Los Angeles street.

The 36-year-old “Married. . .With Children” star proclaimed herself cancer-free just last summer after undergoing a double mastectomy.

She even had the courage to show off her reconstructed figure during a scene from her hit comedy “Samantha Who?” just weeks after the operation.
Applegate’s mother also beat breast cancer and the star said her mom’s fight inspired her to beat the disease.

Applegate also appeared at the star-studded Stand Up To Cancer telethon that raised millions to fight the disease last September.

Fellow cancer survivors Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge hugged Applegate in a moving moment onstage at the event.

Doctors say smoking is the leading cause of lung cancer and several other forms of the disease. It also causes heart disease and other killer ailments.

The link to breast cancer is less clear-cut, although some studies have shown women who smoke are more likely to develop breast cancer.

It’s official: Hollywood is hooked on Twitter and stars are sharing some very private moments online.

“Night love … the bed’s too big without you,” Pete Wentz Twittered on wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz’s page Wednesday night.

Katie Lee Joel may be “Movin’ Out” of hubby Billy Joel’s life.

Reports are surfacing that the brunette beauty, 27, has been cheating on her 59-year-old husband with hunky fashion designer Yigal Azrouel, 36.
“Katie and Yigal have been together for a while,” says an insider. “She goes everywhere with him. He’s into brunettes, and Katie is his right-hand woman. They’re so close that Yigal even watches Katie’s dogs when she’s away.”

Not helping is Joel’s constant touring, and the fact that the duo lead very separate lives.

“Katie often stays at their apartment in NYC alone, while Billy likes to live in their Long Island home,” another source tells us. “They’re rarely together. And Katie likes it like that. She wants her freedom.”

When the Piano Man originally heard of the “fashion designer” friend, he assumed the Israeli-born Azrouel was gay, according to The National Enquirer. Not so.

The ex-military man has “slept with several high-profile female fashion editors. It’s understandable that everyone would think he’s gay, as he’s a man of fashion in NYC, but he isn’t,” says the source.

Meanwhile, an insider told The Enquirer: “Initially, Billy thought it was great that she met a new friend. But now he’s become very concerned.”

He may have reason to be. At a recent Museum of Natural History gala, Katie turned up, sans Billy, and spent the evening with Yigal. “I love Yigal Azrouel,” she told us that night. “He’s one of my favorite [designers]. We’re good friends. He’s very easygoing.”

A week before that, the two left a USA Network’s party just a few minutes apart from one another. Katie wasn’t wearing her wedding ring, and jumped into a waiting cab that Yigal was already in, said an onlooker.

The 62-year-old star — who has anal cancer — was treated for internal bleeding

Farrah Fawcett was released from the hospital Thursday after being treated for internal bleeding, the actress’ physician confirms.

“The pain from the hematoma has improved substantially and she is walking. Her mood was upbeat and she is in good spirits. She’s particularly looking forward to spending Easter at home with her family,” cancer specialist Dr. Lawrence Piro said.

The actress — who has anal cancer — left the L.A. medical center with longtime companion Ryan O’Neal after being hospitalized for one week.

Fawcett was being treated at an L.A.-area hospital for anal cancer that spread to her liver, Dr. Piro said Monday.

The actress underwent a “minor procedure” in Germany — where she was undergoing alternative treatments — that led to a small amount of bleeding into a muscle in her abdominal wall, Piro told the Associated Press.

He added that the bleeding created a sac of blood that caused pressure and pain.

The Charlie’s Angels star, 62, revealed she had anal cancer in 2006. The following year, she held a press conference to announce she was in remission, but her cancer returned shortly after.

When asked if Fawcett would be returning for further treatment, Dr. Piro declined to comment. “That’s not something I’m prepared to discuss at this time,” he said.

I wonder if Alyson Hannigan becoming a mother influenced her former-Buffy co-star to become one herself. Talking about Buffy there were rumors earlier in the week that Sarah Michelle was thinking of reprising her role as Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I wonder if this news puts a stake in that rumor?
