JOAQUIN Phoenix (above) is no action hero. A video surfaced yesterday showing the bearded eccentric engaged in a “brawl” at a Miami nightclub, but our sources say the scuffle was “completely staged” for the documentary Casey Affleck is doing on Phoenix’s new career as a rapper. During his performance at a Belvedere IX party at Liv nightclub Wednesday night, Phoenix jumped into the crowd to confront a heckler. “But it was a fake fight,” said our witness. “Nobody threw a punch. They were just holding onto each other.”

THE fur is no longer flying between Lindsay Lohan and the Manhattan woman who accused the “Mean Girl” of swiping her high-priced mink. Lohan won’t tell what she may have had to fork over to settle the lawsuit brought by Masha Markova, who lost the $11,000 coat at 1OAK last year. Dozens of photos snapped that night showed the “Freaky Friday” actress leaving the club wearing a blond mink that looked exactly like Markova’s. Club owners discreetly got the pilfered pelt back to Markova, but never said how - or from whom - they recovered it.

Recently married Fergie debuted her new darker locks tonight and I can’t say I really like it. But I think it will get better after a few washes and the new color lightens up a bit because that is just a little too dark for her coloring.

Katie Holmes debuted her new longer locks and she looks great!!! The flowing extensions took at least 20 years off of her and the lost years were added to Tom Cruise when he poses with her. Hopefully she will keep this look because the short didn’t suit her and made her look her husband’s age!

Anna Nicole Smith’s longtime companion and attorney Howard K. Stern and two psychiatrists were charged today with conspiring to furnish drugs to the one-time Playboy playmate in the years leading up to her 2007 death from a prescription medication overdose.

Stern, 40, and Drs. Sandeep Kapoor, 40, and Khristine Eroshevich, 61, were each charged with a single count of conspiracy, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Arraignment dates have not yet been scheduled.

Eroshevich was Smith’s personal psychiatrist.

The charges allege that the trio conspired to furnish drugs to Smith between June 5, 2004, and Jan. 26, 2007.

Kapoor and Stern were also charged with one count of “prescribing, administering or dispensing a controlled substance to an addict.” Eroshevich was charged with the same crime in a separate count.

Kapoor and Stern were also charged with a single count of unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance between June 9, 2004, and Sept. 22, 2006. Meanwhile, Eroshevich and Stern were charged with unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance between June 5, 2004, and Jan. 26, 2007.

Kapoor and Eroshevich were also charged with one count each of obtaining a prescription for opiates by “fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.” They were also charged with a single count of obtaining a prescription for opiates by giving a false name or address.

The charges were filed in downtown Los Angeles as part of a felony complaint for arrest warrant for all three, prosecutors said. The entertainment news Web site TMZ.com reported that Stern planned to surrender to authorities , but it was unclear where or when.

Smith, who was 39, died in Hollywood, Fla., on Feb. 8, 2007, of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs shortly after the birth of her daughter and death of her son, who also died of a drug overdose.

Following Smith’s death, a legal battle erupted over who was the father of her daughter, Dannielynn Hope. DNA tests determined the father was photographer Larry Birkhead, who now has custody of the girl. Stern had also contended that he was the girl’s father.

The criminal charges filed today were the result of an investigation that involved not only the District Attorney’s Office, but the state Attorney General’s Office, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, California Medical Board and state Department of Insurance.

In October 2007, investigators served warrants at various medical offices and other locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties as part of the probe. The offices of Eroshevich and Kapoor were both searched.

“These individuals repeatedly and excessively furnished thousands of prescription pills to Anna Nicole Smith, often for no legitimate medical purpose,” state Attorney General Jerry Brown said. “There is ample evidence that Doctor Eroshevich and Doctor Kapoor violated their ethical obligations as physicians, while Mr. Stern funneled highly addictive drugs to Ms. Smith.”

Brown said the trio furnished Smith with pills including opiates, benzodiazapines and other controlled substances.

Haiti Goodwill Ambassador, Wyclef Jean arrived in Port au Prince yesterday with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and former U.S. President Bill Clinton in an effort to bring worldwide awareness to Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Haiti, which has been hit by a series of devastating storms over the past year, desperately needs help after more than 800 people died and over 1 million people were left homeless or in desperate need of recovery and reconstruction efforts.

Jean, who is from Haiti and has lead in efforts to help rebuild, educate, and create jobs with his Yéle Haiti foundation was invited to accompany the former President and Secretary-General tour the region. “I was honored to show my support when they asked me to join them on this important humanitarian trip which also gave them the opportunity to experience the beauty underneath the devastation my country and its people have had to face. It’s crucial for me to do all I can to raise awareness and help Haiti get through this tough time.”

While in the country, they visited a Yéle sponsored feeding program at a school in Cité Soleil and an education leadership program in Turgeau, met with President René Preval and senior government officials, and a walking tour of Sonapi Industrial Park. Before the three headed off on a plane back to the US, Jean attended a press conference where Clinton and Ban summarized their trip and discussed the Hope II US trade deal which gives Haiti direct access to US markets for apparel without duty; a bill that Jean lobbied for extensively before it was passed.

Also invited on the trip were renowned physician Paul Farmer, who works extensively in the region, Deputy Chairman of the Toronto-Dominion Bank Frank McKenna, and several other business leaders.
