MICHAEL Jackson has pulled off a monetary moonwalk to save his dilapidated Neverland Ranch from the auction block. The 2,500-acre spread in Los Olivos, Calif., was to be sold off next Wednesday after Jacko defaulted on his $24.5 million mortgage. But his lawyer, L. Londell McMillan, said the washed-up King of Pop worked out a “confidential†refinancing with Fortress Investment Group to retain ownership. The place has been a ghost town since 2005, when Jackson moved out following his child-molestation trial. Gone are Bubbles the chimp and other wild animals, and the kids’ carousel is a mess.
